We have this. Bought it three years ago, after the regular steel one got bent cause it got dropped. Some things to be aware of - It's much lighter and flimsier than the steel bowl. The nonstick didn't last even a couple of months. We only hand wash and are generally careful handling non-stick. But this is not a premium non-stick coating (should be obvious at this price). But it's still doing its job. No other issues.
The fact that 98% of people have PFOAs in their blood and the massive increase in cancer rates says that no, people have a very legitimate reason to be concerned. PFOAs are no longer used in non-stick coatings but that doesn't mean companies haven't moved to different formulations using a newer, yet to be banned substance.
Neither you nor I even know the formulation or ingredients used in the coating. Simply assuming that the coating on this pan is safe is insanity, you are essentially hoping blindly that a big corporation won't choose profits over customer health and use the cheapest coating possible regardless of impact to it's customers. That's a bet you are extra-ordinarily likely to loose as companies have proven time and time again that profits come first.
Stainless Steel is comprised of iron and carbon, pretty simple and well proven. If you feel that non-stick coatings aren't adverse to your health would you consent to eating 5g of Teflon shavings every meal? Completely safe according to you.
Thanks so much, mine is trashed

teflon is harmless and they haven't use PFOAs since the 80s. Lot of people are misinformed about non-stick coatings.
Teflon is one of the forever chemicals that makes the news all the time for being harmful.
in any case, Teflon killed two of my parrots through out gassing from brand new pots from CorningWare that had Teflon coating.it wasn't common knowledge back then at this stuff could kill - it is now.
please consider reading up on the subject before you make unsubstantiated claims.
Well the stainless one makes my potatoes taste like metal. I don't have that problem with ceramic.
Interesting and noted.
I will try to be more aware and try to perceive the unseeable.
Already the sides of my tongue are sending agreeable conformation of what you speak.

Google is your friend.
Though you are correct that if you cook teflon to 600 degrees it produces harmful gases that is true for paper as well.
I already shared references for the safety of teflon.
Yes of course you can find any answer you want on google. It is NOT your friend as it allows you to find bogus answers to support a position that isn't scientifically or medically valid.
but, don't argue with me. Take it up with the FDA which finds teflon safe to eat off of and put inside your body as a medical implant.

Cooks just fine. However, there seems to be an issue with the rim design/measurements. After pressure has been released, there seems to be a vacuum which causes the insert to stick to the lid, and strong enough that you will actually pull the whole insert. I have the Duo SV and the problem may only be with certain models.

Thanks for warning people.
Ceramic coating is safer than telfon coating or whatever Dupont /3M try to rebrand X as. It a tactic to mislead and confuse people.
Ceramic coat is not 100% safe like stainless steel/glass
Ceramic coating is just another generation of nonstick PFOA that doesn't flake as much as the old generation telfon. This ceramic pot will last 3-5 years compare to stainless steel lasting 25-50 years. Telfon flakes off in 1-3 years of use.
It's 30% the cost of a refurbished Instapot 6 quart.
See attached: Pure titanium camp pot, No heavy metals or toxic coatings, Lasts a lifetime. I use the pot-in-pot method 95% of the time. Lid on or off depending, Titanium is ultra thin wall, transfers heat really well. Does not retain heat so no burns from hot pot and easy to handle.
You mean you put this titanium pot inside of your Instant Pot inner pot? Do you have a link for it?
Bought and then cancel order because according to urlhasbeenblocked (amazon price tracker) around the same time last year it the normal 6 quart steel pot went on sale for $20, probably a better buy than this low quality $15 one.
