What would be the use case for a 65" computer monitor or why would anyone want this as mainly a monitor?

Does anyone have any insight on how much of an improvement this would be over an OLED. Has anyone seen the two side by side or upgraded to this from an oled.

Because most broadcasts are not in 8K. But if you attach a computer you can play 8K content. Like anything filmed via camera gear capable of recording at that resolution. As well as purchase or stream 8K content from the internet, I think you tube has some 8K videos as well. Additionally playing games at high resolution and max settings if you have a computer with capability for it.

I have owned the 75" version of this TV for more than a year, and I have a 77" LG CX OLED. Really the only advantage this TV has at this 65" size is that it is capable of displaying 8K content from YouTube and other compatible sources. I enjoy watching 8K videos on mine, but you have to be very close to appreciate the difference (closer than normal viewing distances, even at the 75" size). It does get very bright, it has great viewing angles, and the local dimming does a good job of creating poppy contrast and dark blacks. I also specifically like the ability to wall mount it with LG's low-profile wall mount, making it almost flush with the wall. Mine does have significant dirty screen effect, but that is typical with an ADS/IPS panel, and it is really only noticeable in bright panning shots (like sports). In my opinion there is only two reasons to buy this 65" TV over an OLED: 1. You really want 8K, or 2. You have a very bright room with lots of sunlight. I personally bought the 75" LG QNED99 because it was on sale for $2,000 in August of 2022 and a comparable G2 OLED at that time in the 77" size would have been almost double that cost.
