    I own a 6800 and am thinking about returning it. Runs games OK but was freaked out about 12gb cards running out of VRAM but the truth is, by the time 16gb is required for newer games, this cards performance will be completely obsolete.

    Tough choice. You'll get the frame generation portion that will come along w/ fsr 3.0 when that launches on the 7800 (for whatever that's worth), also better ray tracing performance. Personally I'd wait for Black Friday at this point and hope the 6800 drops at least another $15

    Stop using system restore every time the computer doesn't do what you want. My grandma did the same thing and kept undoing all the work I put in to it.

    And your link shows $550 with delivery "November 10", LOL.

    I recommend wait for BF and get nice discount for 6800 XT for 4k/60 Ultra settings for casual gaming or 7800 XT if same price or more but you need AI/ machine learning, AV1 video processing, etc.
    If same price - no point in 6800 XT at all, sellers just stupidly greedy, just grab 7800 XT it's better.

    6800 non-XT... anyway better to wait BF to get it cheaper, but it's not Ultra settings 4K/60 gaming, just medium/high.

    I just bought a 7900XTX and returned it because Starfield was literally unplayable due to crashing. It's unfortunate and it's probably just that game but man was that frustrating to deal with. Idk what else to buy

    Those are my thoughts as someone that has worked in the IT, Telecom and Review industry for over 30 years with good friends at MaximumPC, PCWorld and other places. I have also build over 11,500 custom PC's over a 7 year period when Alienware was still "Alienware" and NOT "Dell, cost/benefit, ware", as well as running my own side business building and servicing custom computers since 1994, VipersHardware.

    Good luck, and don't rush to jump on a deal because most of the time, "if its to good to be true, it probably is" so do your research and pick wisely.
