This is the best on the market
This is the 2nd best price we seen in awhile. A few months back, it was $90.
I've seen others rumbling in other threads that HDD suppliers are tightening up supply so the constant dip in price may be at a halt for a while. Black Friday is around the corner though

I'm running a 500GB on my old PC and routinely run out of space with just the OS and software. 1TB would have been ok for the new rig, but for the minimal cost difference at these prices I figured why not have the extra overhead?
The other nice thing is as the capacity doubles, so does the endurance rating across all models of NAND flash drives. 600 TBW on the 1TB version versus 1200 TBW on the 2TB version of the SN850X drives in this case.

This will not work on Laptop due to thickness - did I miss something?
You didn't mention that it was for a laptopo in your last post. No, I don't imagine it would fit.

Is there a reason to buy it at Best Buy over Amazon?
For me it's so I can use my Freedom Flex card via PayPal for the quarterly bonus category. Don't have Prime, so not same benefit to use Amazon credit card.

Not at all. Don't get me wrong, it's still top 10 overall score. And even tho it's been $89 before, this is still a decent price.

But there are like 40 something drives that are a little faster, including the A440 pro, which is currently $92.

I've seen this same SSD get as low as $90. I know Amazon could do better than $100 🙄🤷🏽 ♂️😂...

Best Buy card has 10% back right now if you activate it. Also rewards from last week if you activated last weeks.

Yes if you really need 2TB for the boot drive
He said gaming, so he probably does. Newfangled games can be well over 100GB, making 1TB the absolute minimum.

A lot of gpus are at least relatively decent atm. You can build a 7600/6750xt system for right around $1k atm. This price for a 2tb nvme isn't even anything special for the past few months.

Sure, a 6700 XT is a decent value right now but top end and all Nvidia cards are still ridiculous.

I was originally hoping the 3070 would be the first legit 4k card (60fps on new games and some VRAM headroom) for $500. Several years later and Nvidia's cheapest legit 4k card is $1100, lol. The 7800 XT is closest so far, but sub 60fps on a few too many new titles.

How about laptop?
Lenovo T480s?

What measurement will tell u its overheating - what temp?
Your laptop is PCIe 3.0 x 4, it won't take advantage of gen4. Get a gen3 NVMe like the SK hynix Gold P31, runs very cool with great performance.
