does anyone know hows the text clarity on this monitor? i have a MSI Optix MAG342CQR. I like the monitor but the text clarity wasnt good enough for me. probably cuz im used to 4k 27 inch clairty........
seriously these 34in monitors are very nice for office/video edition etc. and gaming. really like to find one that has nicer text clarity.

It's also 250 on LG site. Check your credit car cash backs. My BoA credit card has 10% Lg cash back. Plus 10% cash back from third party site. Price is about the same as prime day deal 200$

How is this monitor for work related purposes? Clear text, etc? I am not a gamer so that is not of importance. I am using a 47" now and it's too big.

I got the $199 deal. The screen is gorgeous. The only two drawbacks to note is this the cheapest in Uber line up so I/O has one display port which isn't great for me as I use a work and personal desktop and the image from the display looks substantially better than hdmi on device. Second drawback is the stand is not adjustable which I needed it to be for my desk setup. Other than that this monitor less than $300 is a really good value. The blacks beautiful compared to most ips monitors and the ghosting is minimal in games.

It's wonderful. Coming from a Dell u2415 Ultrasharp 1080p it's substantially better than a great 1080p monitor due to the resolution.

Its cuz displayport supports 10bit color, hdmi only 8 bit. also suggest you should get a monitor arm. much better than stands. more desk space.

I thought that was the case with hdmi 1.4 but hdmi 2.0 supports 10 bit ? What am I missing.

you are right, i googled and it says 2.0 supports 10 bit. but what happened to me last night with my LG 4k monitor was that when i use DP, i get 10 bit, when i switch to HDMI that came with the monitor, it only gave me 8 bit with dithering with no option to change it to 10 bit. im not excatly sure why is this happening.
