    Would be really nice if movies were all on a service like Spotify or Youtube and you could just pay for access and watch them whenever you want.

    In the meantime, my "special" library is so extensive with my big screen TV that going to the theater seems like a hassle now.

    I have movies that I bought on VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray. Since then, I started buying most of my movies on iTunes and many of the movies I bought in HD have since been upgraded to 4K at no cost.     I'm over my chosen media format going obsolete. Also, very inconvenient, storing thousands of discs, and when you pick one out to watch, now you gotta load it in a dedicated machine. Want to watch in another room? You need another one of those machines.

    With digital, I scroll, I click, I watch. On any TV, tablet, or phone that I want.

    Screw physical media!

    Do you have anything that proves that? The BUY option would mea you own it. Yes, it may not be am MP4 format or such and given right codecs, you have every right to download and keep it and watch.
