Yep, just got this set for $85 shipped back in July. It's a nice set overall, but I'm not in love with the case - would've gladly paid more for the packout case.

Guessing this is not recommended but anyone use this with an m12 impact driver?
You probably won't be taking any lugs off with it, but that's fine. I used a socket adapter with my M12 impact driver before I ended up getting the 3/8" M12 stubby impact wrench a few months back.

I wonder how the warranty works for broken sockets does it work like snap-on ? You break it you get a new one ?
Per their website it states: "Lifetime Guarantee covers impact sockets and extensions only"

I started with Harbor Freight sets and still have them but also have these Milwaukee deep sockets that I got from a different deal; I can tell you from my experience that these are much much better in quality, finish, laser etched and inked which will last a while, they also grip the nuts very well.

I am looking to replace all my harbor freight impact and regular CRV sockets with Milwaukee ones as they show up here on Slickdeals Wink.

The HF 37 piece socket set is 3/8 and 1/2 drive and goes to 1" and 22mm. No deep sockets though. Over the past few years bought the HF 37 piece and deep socket sets for less than 1/2 the price of this Milw and have more sockets and in larger sizes. No doubt this Milw set is prettier.

I agree with you on the fact that HF ones have kits that have no missed sizes and goes all the way to 32" (at least in the one I have) and the cost was almost 50% less or probably more with occasional coupons...but my comment was specific to the quality, reliability, marking and the way they hug fit the nuts/bolts with all other factors remaining the same.

The point that is mostly not perceived is the "Quality" factor; it may not be something that one gets to see on a daily basis; as it may not come into picture for an average person who does not use these tools on a regular basis or in a situation where it's true potential is tested...for ex: something like changing a wheel bearing, crankshaft bolts, suspension components etc. where you need to use high torque and that's when you will realize the true potential of the tool, quality, durability and the price paid for some of these tools...a rounded bolt head, busted socket or something of that sort will make you realize that....and I have witnessed and survived some of those with Milwaukee.

Never had those problems with HF sockets. Perhaps youre not putting the socket on the fastener correctly. Never had one break either. And if a HF socket does break simply take it to a store and they will replace it. No receipt or mailing is required.

Lucky you...sockets have a variety of issues...not just busting...rounding is a much worse problem...sometimes you are screwed depending on where the nut is located...people who worked on Autos for sometime would know what I am talking about.

I am only speaking out of my experience and am NOT at all against HF or it's various brands. I still own some of their Icon tools, sockets etc. and am a big fan of their 9 mil gloves but then I found that there are better tools for certain things out there...to each their own. Again my 2 cents.

I broke one and took the set back to Home Depot, and they exchanged the set for a new one.
They didn't even ask for a receipt

Is there a difference between regular sockets and impact sockets? I just bought a craftsman mechanics set for $169 on sale, just wondering what the difference is.

For a gamble of possible savings of $10? I'm sure you spend more than 10 bucks for one meal in which you can skip.
