It ends and you use another 3 month sim. Port your number to google voice, get a fake new number with this sim and forward your calls to this new number from google voice. Rinse and repeat every new sim and you will be able to take advantage of ANY prepaid deal promotion from any prepaid carrier forever

If I use Mint sim on a unlocked Verizon branded Samsung, will I need to set APN or will the phone handle it automatically? THese Samsung Verizon branded phones are a pain to change.

i clicked on the link for 15gig sim.
didnt see any giftcard offer.
but it did say "There was a temporary issue" but still allowed me to buy it (without mention of giftcard)

i'll wait till website fixes.

also, the sim is $60 yet i'm still being charged $5.99 shipping???

Mint has some of the worst customer support & interface ive ever experienced. Completely botched my transfer request & gave me a new number instead. Couldn't keep a steady chat connection unless using the app while constantly refreshing and the reps weren't helpful. Pray you never need their support. Went with USMobile instead.

have the apn handy.
over the years of doing these mint sales, i've had 2 moto's and 1 samsung.

i had to input the apn manually on at least 1 of them.

i have gv so i dont care about the provider phone #.
it's throw away for me.

if you're going to continuously take advantage of the mint sim sales, xfer your # to gv for like $10.
then again, Deadpool sold mint to tmobile. it's pending regulatory approval.
so no idea if there will be great deals like this anymore once approved.

Normally it happened by now but wouldn't expire until after the 1st week of the new year. Remember Reynolds's is trying to sell the company or it's preparing for new ownership so they'll be looking to get their ROI - so I'm doubtful it'll be happening anymore - at least not for those that purchase at 3rd party.

It's the same network in practice, so should be fine.

If you haven't had your phone number on Mint for at least 90 days, you are eligible to be considered as a "new" customer.

How long can you wait before activating?
Historically, Mint doesn't know when you bought the SIM at retail, so the expiration date on the card is the one to pay attention to. Buying directly from Mint usually allows only about 45 days. There's always the possibility of Mint reaching an agreement with retailers to inform them when any particular SIM number is sold, though, so I wouldn't push my luck too far (although I have seen claims of people buying two B3G3 deals, and not activating the second one until the first one ran out with it still working).

I bought Mint Mobile service for a year back a couple months ago and I'm not super impressed for my needs. It's good overall, but the service drops a lot. Mind you, I live in the New York countryside and not in a city.
If you're always going to be urban, probably a good fit for you.
I also have Cricket Wireless (AT&T) and it's nearly perfect out here.

It's a SIM card - even if that were enforced (which I've never seen mention of), one could easily activate the SIM in an old phone, and then move it to their current one. I've bought their "new customer only" deals several times in a row and never even had to do that - all I did was use unique email addresses each time, along with a one-time virtual card number from privacy.com's app.
