Another way to put it is this CPU is better than the 11th gen Intel i7-11800H. The GPU has the same benchmark results as a 4060 laptop GPU. The combined AMD CPU and GPU means there will be shared RAM, making the total RAM effectively 24GB for productivity. A nice addition is the MUX switch, which will help save battery life when not gaming.

The i7 has a better single core performance than the ryzen according to this Passmark score

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu....+i7-12650H

But the ryzen has a better multi core score according to Passmark as well

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu....HS&id=5138

Considering the scores are well above 20,000 Passmark, being paired with a mobile RX 7600 GPU, is plenty fast, there will not be a cpu bottleneck here with the ryzen, the GPU if anything would hold it back. And honestly for this price of a mobile gaming laptop this looks pretty good with the MUX switch which will help with better performance. More info on what that does here

I have one of these, purchased the last time the price dropped. It's been a great machine so far, screen is phenomenal for the price range and the GPU performance is adequate.
Pros:
Fairly fast, as long as you don't demand top of the line performance it will be fine. Still 6 cores of Zen 3 working for you.
Adequate GPU, may have to turn a few things down but will play modern games easily.
Great screen, most laptops in this price range have crappy 45% NTSC screens.

Cons:
Plasticy, the plastic tends to collect fingerprints and oil and it doesn't feel quite as solid as some laptops. Not a big deal but doesn't look and feel as good as it could.
Noisy. As to be expected the fans crank up the volume when gaming. Doesn't seem to get too hot though.
No camera shutter. This one is a weird oversight and the webcam itself isn't great but that's not why you would buy this laptop to begin with.

4/5 is what I would give it.

Open box - good is going for $685, what do you think? Comes out to $750 after tax. I have a 2022 g14 I got for 800$ with a ryzen 9 & 6700s. But honestly the space bar is shit, some QA issues make me deterred from the G14 line for good, and I want a full number pad. (2020 g14 was amazing)

Can do an even swap if I buy this and sell the g14
It's better to spend 750 for a sealed brand new than 685 for a good open box. If you have g14 I guess you can wait for couple more weeks until thanksgiving.

Ya think so? It's almost a 10% increase. I guess I could wait for a 4060

CPU is comparable to 12th gen i5 12600, maybe even a bit worse. GPU is very close to RTX 3060, Unless you wait for 2+ years, you are not getting this price for 4060 laptop. I would say if you need some light gaming, this would be enough. If you need better CPU (which I do recommend with more memory (you need at least 16GB, and more hard drive). You should wait.
6700M laptop was posted the other day.

Did not know the gpu ram actually could help out the cpu. Usually with amd I'm concerned about the cpu getting no ram because the igpu is hogging it Smilie

It's a sliding door that covers the camera for extra privacy and security.

Screen appears to only be 250 nits, that seems awfully low, no?

This is my daily driver for work, and I've had a handful of times where I've had to remove the bottom cover and disconnect the battery and the ram and the let the computer sit for about 30 seconds before reconnecting everything to get it to power on. My unit was open box, so it's possible I'm just dealing with someone else's issue, but I wanted to add my 2 cents on this laptop.
