This is pretty cool but man price point is just too high for what it is.
I have 2 of these and can attest I use them all the time, but I want to say I paid like $25 several years ago. Agree that price point is way too high.

What size battery do you use?

The price history shows that it's been at $63 to $71 since August.... As others have stated, it would be a pick up if it were closer to half that cost. Nice that its bi-directional but maybe if the price dropped a little more I'd snag a set.

If the true value is half? Can someone share links to a 100W charger and a similarly capable power bank for half this price?

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a Baseus power bank for my laptop. It was crap. I returned it. That was ~$65 (down from ~$100). DeWalt is a solid brand. Is there no value in dependability, etc?

Or should I get the Ridgid inverter for around the same price? That's more flexible, yes? But it's BYOB, where this IS a battery.

There is no battery included in this Dewalt kit.

Does Dewalt make a compact inverter for their batteries, like Ryobi and Milwaukee?
I dont think they make a small one, but they do have the big power station that takes 4 batteries. Its ober priced now at 400+ Plus you'll need 4 dewalt batteries for it to run as an inverter. I paid under 300 on Ebay couple years ago. Dont leave it out in rhe rain…
It is great for camping, will
run small appliances nicely with 4 20v 5ah batts, but it really shines with 4 60v 9ah batts.

This is not bad compared to other 100w USB C chargers like the Anker. Is it "Gan" rated (whatever that means). Especially usefull if you already have some dewalt batts.

Prime piece of equipment for a prime price. I bought this months ago at $69 and have been very happy with my purchase. It is my only charger for my Dewalt batteries as I have been piecing together my tools. The USB out is more powerful than any other I have seen and does have a low voltage protection which many of my aftermarket lights and inverter for the Dewalt batteries do not.

According to a FNB58 tester:
From the battery, the USB-C out supports:
PD3.0 100w PDO:5
BC 1.2 DCP 5V 1.5A
Samsung AFC 9v
QC2.0 5v 9v 12v
QC3.0 11.7v Max

The USB A-port supports
Apple 5v 2.4A
BC 1.2 DCP 5V 1.5A

The Dewalt power brick supports:
PD3.0 65w PDO:5
BC 1.2 DCP 5V 1.5A
Huawei FCP 5v 9v
QC2.0 5v 9v 12v
QC3.0 11.96v Max
PE+1.1
PE+2.0

The Dewalt Cord is of good quality and supports all these protocols.

DeWalt is a solid brand.

But I wouldn't trust their electrical "expertise".

The Ryobi inverters are subpar. It looks like they just put their name on some random product as an afterthought like the horrible Milwaukee soldering iron.

I trust these brands with tools.

good kit i own it and like it. price will always be a bit high because its a combo kit and 65watt USB-C chargers arent cheap and neither are 100 watt capable cables.

the great thing about this kit is how you can charge batteries wherever you are including from your cars outlet, so you dont have to worry about carrying extra batteries for your drill, lights or compressor when out camping or on a trip.

Yes. I do it without issue. The output is a 100W most non gaming modern laptops caharge between 45W and 65W through a USB-C port.
