If you want to help others, you can do that, instead of such replies.

I miss the days when you could Verizon cards at 35% discount

Bought with stolen credit card numbers, those were the days
Most likely from the Days where you could Trade in a $10 Tracfone from Sears and get a $300 Gift Card. Eventually Verizon caught the glitch, and I wonder what happened to all those people who sold thousands of those on Ebay, and were asked by Verizon to pay them back for commiting fraud.

I can't believe how many people with new phones are reporting that the online activation didn't work. What is different about that and dialup activation? It seems that the online activation needs to be fixed. Thanks to p0tempkin for giving the detailed post about activation because without it I probably would have called customer service and I didn't want to do that!

IMO, for the most part, they will ship

First, Walmart is handling the sell like Larry, Moe and Curly, which will lead to a glut of unsold inventory.

Second, Straight Talk has consistently had inventory available

Third, Verizon has 4th quarter and year end earning to report. They last reported home and business wireless services boosted third-quarter earnings even as the telecom giant lost cellular subscribers, and that EPS for the third quarter was $1.22, lower than the year ago quarter but higher than analyst expectations of $1.18.

(Full disclosure, I am waiting for my 4 pack to ship Smilie)

I see multiple posts that say even with a port out during the first month, the phone will still unlock at 60 days. How does the unlock work with no service? Just via WiFi?
My only experience is with an Android TracFone and I think then it got texted a unlock code to enter though I may not be remembering correctly?

Thanks
I bought one last summer at $149 and paid for one month only. We went to Europe later in the summer and it unlocked itself with no service and in Europe. I put in a European SIM after the 60 days had passed and used it over there the rest of the vacation.

You just need to pay for a month, cancel, put it in a drawer for 60 days, and you are good?
When you say "cancel", do you mean we need to call ST and ask them to cancel the line? Or is it enough to just not pay for the second month, as there's no auto pay enabled? Thanks

Correct, don't give Walmart any Email that has been used before on Straight Talk and don't let the rep put in their choice of a fake email. If you hit paydirt and find a phone and don't have your burner email set up, make up some super weird email (ie dfe978309126 @gmail.com) that no one would ever want to use. Then go home, put the sim in the phone and turn it on. Complete setup and then find out what your new phone number is. Then create a new Gmail account with the weird name and use your new phone number to verify the new Gmail account. That way, you will have access to the email associated with Straight Talk if something goes wrong
Thanks for the specifics. I don't know why you got a thumbs down, it was helpful to me. 👍 Maybe the td-er can indicate which part was bad?

Yep … it's prepaid, so just let it expire. No need to do anything else unless you signed up with auto pay.

No, there's a trolling idiot or two in this thread who seem to go through and basically TD any actual helpful comments or posts which mention that they got the deal or like anything about it. Consider it a badge of honor if you end up with some TD in this thread, lol.

Oh come on … are you really going to deprive some pathetic fool the little bit of joy they get out of life by TDing your post?

Thanks!
Just picked one up in store. "New" employee had no problems. $49 for the phone and $35 plan, $99.67 total with tax.

Hoping to trade in on a Oneplus 12 if/when Tmobile gets it in a few months.
I don't think T-Mobile will have the 12. They did not carry the 11, iirc
