I got this during the last round.
To start, 1080p at 15.6 inches is 141 Pixels Per Inch. Compare that to whatever you're using for a PC monitor, and I'm sure you'll find that this display is plenty crisp enough.
Personally, I would find a higher resolution at this size and aspect ratio to be a waste of power and performance. Though, I would absolutely love a 16:10 display.
In addition, the specs are on point for the price, and it's decently built. Overall, I 'm very happy with it, and I do find it to be Slick at this price.

Don't listen to this. 4k doesn't matter on actual laptop screens. They're too small. This can put out awesome 4k onto a monitor

I noticed that this laptop comes with a couple of free gifts including an Alan wake 2 game code. If I return the laptop but don't redeem the code for the game would they still charge me for the "free gift" or they will give me the full refund? I was reading on reddit that BestBuy will deduct the price of the game code upon return of the laptop regardless if I redeemed the code or not which sounds ridiculous.
Yes, they will charge you for the game upon return. If you're not sure about keeping the laptop (don't like it for whatever reasons), then you may want to remove the free items. Deleting the free items is the only way you won't be charged for them when you return it. Of course, if you do decide to keep the laptop, you'll lose out on the game.

I know a lot of people are misinterpreting your question as an attempt to do something sleazy, when in reality your question is valid. Especially with how expensive these laptops are and disappointing they can be (or this time of the year when a better deal might pop up tomorrow).

Best buy states it's free but when you go to return the item they want to reduce the refund by the value of the free item.

I bought a Chromebook for an elderly friend who's losing their vision. When we found that the font still couldn't get large enough, I went to return the Chromebook literally the next day and Best buy initially didn't want to refund the $30 webroot security (on a $170 Chromebook??). Thankfully the customer service rep fixed it but I imagine this with a $60 game, $15 gamepass sub and $30 webroot security "gift" they might give you a harder time.. so I'd remove from the cart if you're not sure you'll keep this laptop.

If I don't redeem any of the codes will I still be charged for them upon return? I didn't care for the free items but I didn't know I had to manually remove them from my cart before checkout to avoid the situation.

Did you redeem the code for the antivirus software in your case?

No, I had not redeemed any codes. It was an automatic deduction from my return which I questioned before they fixed. I had received an email code for the YouTube TV that was also a gift (that I didn't redeem) but the deduction specifically said did WebRoot Security.

Yes, you will be charged for the "free" items upon return because it's only free with purchase of the laptop. There's a no return policy on digital purchases even if you haven't redeemed it. Calling the free items is kinda, sorta misleading. If you buy something, lets say it's $100 and comes with a free item that retails for $20, you're actually paying $80 for the product and $20 for the "free" item.

If the free item is physical, then of course they'll allow you to get your full money back if you return all products. But because of their no return policy on digital, you're stuck paying for it, if you do the return. They can of course do a full refund if you argue hard enough.

Thanks for the clarity guys. Unfortunately I had purchased the laptop yesterday and they already emailed me the codes 🫤. I'll know in the future to just remove these "free" items. It just seems a bit misleading that bestbuy can advertise free returns without a restocking fee but then they can throw in things like non-refundable antivirus software with your purchase that no one would otherwise pay 30 dollars for. It just wasn't obvious to me that I had to manually remove them from my cart to avoid this issue.

I am not sure wtf the other guy is talking about, i bought 3 laptops in past few months from BestBuy, i returned 2 of them, i did not have to "return" my "free items"

I got my full refund, and my order history still shows right now they are ready to redeem, I just double checked since you guys posted this jibberish - and I was like, I am pretty sure I got my full refund, maybe he didnt see but if you paid for other things like a bestbuy membership to get the laptop at a special price, you also had like 90 days to refund that membership and it all credits back on your cc, this happened to one of my laptop purchases of $818, refund was split in 2 transactions, like 764 and 54

I can only tell you what my experience was. If your experience was different, hey that's great.

I agree, never had that issue in the past myself until a few weeks back. Best buy has changed a lot of policies in the past couple of months and it wouldn't surprise me if they started trying to recoup the digital freebies as some kind of means to prevent returns.

It's absolutely powerful enough for that. The only potential con is the screen resolution. Some graphic designers require a higher resolution screen for their work. If you're going to plug into an external monitor, then the laptop screen no longer matters as much.

How is this compare with the Costco Victus for the same price. It is a hard decision, RTX 4070 or RTX 4060 with better CPU, RAM?
