ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 variants are around their lows at multiple sites as well

I demoed a lot of the sub $600 speakers, and for their money, I found the Debut 2.0's cannot be beat. Reviews on the internet largely agree. The speaker I'd rate higher in the price range, if you find on sale, is the Kef 150 for $300-$400.

The DBR62 is considered a higher tier by Elac. So is the Uni-Fi 2.0 which was mentioned above as also being on sale elsewhere.

Personally, I had originally demoed the Uni-Fi 2.0 and hated the sound - was way too flat and neutral for my tastes, even though every review had it being one of the best sub $1,000 speakers around. Ended up getting the Debut 2.0 B6.2 and fell in love with it as my front L & R channel, which I prefer as they sound much more alive to me - important for TV watching.

It largely comes down to your ear, but if you already have DBR62, those are always going to be rated higher than the Debut 2.0 and would keep those.

Meant to post this earlier as I ordered a pair of debut 2.0 FS 5.2's myself off Adorama for about 40% off. Been watching them all year and they never went on sale so this steep cut was a no-brainer. Crazy good deals.

Elac and Adorama also have multiple models on sale.

If you are setting up a home theater and want to verify the speakers are timbre matched go to Elac's website. Subwoofers and to a lesser extent the atmos speakers don't need to be timbre matched. The left, center, and right should be timbre matched.

Amazon is matching the price on this, however, I would rather spend $40 more and get the 6.2 speaker with the bigger woofer.

I use these for the fronts in my home theater. They sound quite good but don't have much in the way of bassy punch, so you'll definitely need a subwoofer for that application. Overall been happy with them.

Jumping into Turntables/Vinyl. Which of these would be best for that type of set up?

DBR62 is much better than this. UBR62 is the step up. If you want a sound test, go to E Project on YouTube.

I have both DBR62 and DB5.2 speakers. The 5.2's sound better with low cost, low current amps and poor recordings. DNR62's are amazingly revealing with great recordings when paired with high peak current amps.

Been waiting for the DBR62's to go on sale, thanks for posting. Got a pair of scratch & dent from Crutchfield for $463. Would rather give the business to them than Amazon and only $12 to return within 60 days.

I brought DBR62's like new from a neighbor who thought they were too revealing. If possible I recommend demoing them with music you really like (not just audiophile recordings).

How do these compare with the Pioneer Andrew Jones bookshelf speakers?
