I'm grateful for users that predicted this deal in both Target and BB deal threads. I bought one from the Target deal, and I'm definitely going to use this. Thank you, SD members.
The terms say you need to buy the 3 months directly from mint mobile. Doesn't say you can buy from Target or Best Buy. I hope you can but terms say buy from Mint
I checked with a Mint mobile agent and they said there is an issue with their system and the offer is not working right now on their site. She said there is no promo code. The 3 free months should be automatically added to your cart. She suggested trying again in a few hours.

don't they normally offer 3 months $45? Is this just not getting any extra 3 motnhs for $45.

I think you're a bit confused about Google Voice. Any number on google voice is a real number, insofar as people can call it, text to it, leave you a voicemail. It really has nothing to do with 2FA or banking/financial institutions. In fact, one of the oddball limitations of GV is that they frequently don't process PIN codes a bank/financial institution might send to you. If a PIN code is texted to you, on GV you may not get it. I generally ask a company sending that sort of code to email it instead.

Yes, there is a fee to port your number to them-- years back when I did it the cost was $10. I don't know if its still the same now. There are no other costs to GV, the service is basically 'free'. GV is for the most part a call forwarding service. Because of that you would have no real need to consider porting a Mint number to them, along with the concerns you state about losing 'your data'. You could just have calls forwarded from your Mint number to your GV number. It also works in reverse. Someone can dial your GV number, it gets forwarded to the Mint number and connected through that, but will show up on caller ID as your GV number. It all sounds kind of tricky, but it works once properly set up. I hope that answers your questions. To really understand GV you have to research the set up, and then just use it. Sometimes I find myself thinking about GV and saying, 'how the heck did they do that'? But it does work. I'm on it now for many years.
I've been using Google Voice for 15 years as my primary phone number(s) so I definitely know how it works heh. But as I put in my post.. I've never ported a number in before. In recent years less and less 2FA codes have been coming through . That's why I referred to my Google Voice numbers as not 'real' numbers because they're in databases as not recognized as real numbers for 2FA purposes. If I port a Mint number into Google Voice then I would be able to get 100% of 2FA codes that's what I was asking about. I spend half the time overseas so this is a real issue for me the last couple years. Thanks!

Either I got a few bad mint mobile reps or the promo is messed up without telling you the details. Even the fine prints don't mention it. So I purchased this promo ie 3 months get additional 3 months free. After a few days, I received my mint mobile packet with 3 SIM cards. 1 sim for 3 months; 1 sim for 3 months; 1 sim for 7 day trial. So I was under the impression that you get 3 months, then the subsequent 3 months are free (total of 6 months). Tried to call mint mobile to activate one of the sim. Was told by the rep that the offer is you paid for 3 months and the additional 3 months is for another person. So in total 1 person only get 3 months and another person get 3 months. Total of 3 months by 2 users. Even for that to work, both people have to transport the numbers. That's not what I wanted. I wanted 3 months and then get another/subsequent 3 months for free without number transport. Am I missing something or a trick here? Even if my assumption was true, then it says that the activation should be within 45 days. So if I activate the 1st SIM card for 3 months, then the 2nd sim for another 3 months can't be activate because the 45 days has already passed by. Any trick or my assumption is wrong?

Does this work if I have existing mint service and need to renew? Could I pop it in a different phone and then into mine?

Sounds like you got the recent Buy One, Get One Line free deal instead. Mint (or maybe you) messed up.

I have asked the question twice about the recovery fee in 3 months. Mint CS politely ignored them. So I am guessing the answer is yes. I will be charged recovery fee for 3 months of free service.
We regret for the inconvnience, please DM us so we can further assist you on the recovery fee query. Regards!

The deal is for a new line only, not for extending an existing line.

Activated and got only 3 months. If any one got 6 months let me know.
Usually they only give you the 3 months after your 3 months are up in the form of credits

How do you find out if the promo you received is "Buy One, Get One Line free deal" or "3 months and 3 months free" deal? In both cases, they will send you 3 SIM cards. 1st sim for 7 days trial; 2nd sim for 3 months; 3rd sim for another 3 months? However you have to activate it within 45 days, so if you activate the 3 months sim, the second 3 months sim activation will be after 90 days with a different phone nimber

Did anyone try using a Target 3 month Mint purchased card? Wonder if it would still work even though they are saying you have to go thru their site. I have a card ready for pickup at Target.
