Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

On the previous deal ip13.
You buy iPhone from VZ
Then use an inactive ATT SIM card to Boot it up the first time to lock it with ATT
Submit request unlock as non-ATT member
Did you try the trick before or after VZ service cancellation?
Thanks!

Hope you were able to pay off.

We were able to unlock both our devices. We are still in the process of canceling the lines.

To anyone trying ATT:

Answers for my questions i asked in my earlier post:

"Do you have a mobile number from AT&T?"
Answer should be "NO"

Which phone IMEI should we enter?
New phone's IMEI. ip14 or 14 pro etc.

And next questions will be like name, Phone no. Email id etc. - these should be different than the ones used while buying the phone and during activation.

Hope it helps.
Yes paid off

I bought multiple lines with Verizon but when i try to call and select payoff it sends a text in phone and the chatbot opens and when i select to pay a phone it says i am not eligible to pay until Dec 21. What other options do i have to payoff instead of going to store.

Can I just port the lines out and they will send final bill with payment?

Have you submitted trade-ins before or after porting in numbers?

Edit: Also, during the trade-in process, there is no place it asked me which line the credits should be applied for? How will the system know which line to apply what device credits?

I didn't get an option for choosing which trade in phone went with which line of service. I submitted three separate trades in requests and choose in store dropped off for all three.

I did my first port about 6 hours ago as one of the phones is for my daughter and she is going out of town for a few weeks.

I plan to drop the 3 phones later today. I'll work on ports after that or in the next day or two.

On the ports...

If you do online port from ATT to Verizon, you will be asked for ATT account number and ATT account pin. The PIN is not your passcode to your ATT account. The PIN is the 6 digit (time expiring) port out passcode you request from ATT mobile app or web site.

If give Verizon the wrong port out pin, you will get a automated call ~30 - 60 minutes after submission asking you key in your (ATT port out) PIN. You don't get much tie to respond before being forwarded to customer service. CS can complete the port if you have the right code.

Verizon says ports from other mobile carriers will take 4 - 24 hours to complete, but it took less than an hour for this line.

late to the party..so trade in credit only works if you plan to keep the line long term?

If i understand correctly basically you get a WM gift card for buying the phone full price?

Have a credit card registered to your account payment options before you call. Make your account at web site or in mobile app

What worked for me is to use 800-837-4966 from a different phone (this may not be necessary but it's what worked for me)

Enter phone number and PIN when prompted

Say "pay off device" when prompted

It will tell you what you owe

Then it will ask if you want a human to handle the payment for extra $10, press 1 to stick to automated system when prompted.

At this point it told me multiple times I couldn't make a payment until late December. I kept trying until it accepted the payment and it went through and gave me a confirmation number. Also received an email at that point.

Then I chatted online with a live rep to cancel line. Looks like $35 activation fee is credited.

All good !!
Thanks for the info. I have to activate the line first, right ?

There is no unlock for Verizon for iPhone 14/15. If you bought online you -may- be able to unlock it if you use an AT&T eSIM instead of the one it comes with, then follow the community wiki for AT&T unlock portal. Otherwise you have to wait 60 days and it will auto unlock.

I just did that calling up the automated number 800.837.4966 and it worked like charm. Say the keyword "pay off device" and then you need your account pin. Make sure to have a credit card on your my verizon account profile. It took hardly 2 minutes and I also got the email. Now I am really torn if I should go ahead and cancel the line because I don't know if it's already active. The phone is in transit with FedEx. I am not sure if the device is active and if I cancel the line now, it will auto unlock after 60 days. Any thoughts anyone what should I do?
How about the GC in case of online order. Would you still get one if you cancel the line before getting the GC Incas off online order.

Walmart system is not connected with VZ or AT&T. Once you cancel the line with your carrier, your Walmart gift card still belong to you as Walmart doesn't know you terminate the services. The only case that you have to return the gift card is when you start the return process.

Your only issue is avoid the activation fees by cancel within 3 days and depend if you are order VZ or ATT, both have different time line
Does this also apply in case of online order coz the GC arrives in around 20 days and what if you cancel line before that will you still get the gift card? Please reply

Is there a SKU # for the Verizon S23 or S23 plus for Walmart so I can check for availability in my local stores?
