The PS Portal doesn't really do anything except for offering a "portal" to your PS5. The capabilities of this ASUS ROG Ally are far beyond the portal.

The Steam Deck OLED is weaker. SD has a 4 core Zen2 processor. The Ally/Go have an 8 core Zen4 processor. The SD has an 8 compute unit RDNA2 iGPU, while the Ally/Go have a 12 compute unit RDNA4 iGPU.

All while this Ally 512GB deal costs $50 less than the Steam OLED 512GB. Slickdeals is all about telling people about the best bang for your buck, not arguing about which console you like better. But if youre willing to go for the older Steamdeck LCD model, it becomes very good price to performance wise. That could be had for $400 for the 256GB model.
