I have a PS5 and just bought this Panasonic since my PS5 has trouble playing some discs. PS5 player skipped when I was watching blade runner 2049 which is what made me buy this. It took me completely out of the experience. This also has Dolby vision and HDR 10+ which is superior compared to PS5. I spend a lot of money on my surround sound speakers and tv, I might as well get the most out of it…

Dude, we get it, you found a cheaper way to make it work for you. What's your point of coming to this thread about a 4k blu ray player deal that seems to be pretty popular. Ripping movies with a cheap pc blu ray drive and streaming the content within your network isn't exactly new. People have been doing that for ages. Many people have done that already in the past but now just simply prefer to buy a really good player and simply pop a disk in and enjoy a movie at its best. Mainstream streaming services don't have the bitrate to match physical disk. The only thing that is equal to or close to is with the Kaleidescape Strato C. And that device and service is anything but cheap. Ripping movie etc is time consuming and a lot of times the software used to rip and play the files aren't exactly free or cheap. I have yet to find any software that could upscale and or play content as good as the Oppo and Panasonic 4k players. What exactly are you using in your cheaper setup? HTPC? Built a few of those before and from my experience no amount of tinkering ever yield anything that truly satisfied me compared to mid to higher end dictated players. What screen size TV/Projector and type?

If you didn't personally buy all those "disk on the market" you're stealing it.

I know a few that "rip/copy/play" disc(not even all on the market) and none of them bought all the disc!
