Seems similar to the previous popular deal - https://slickdeals.net/f/16980391-ecoflow-up-to-58-off-amazon-deal-of-the-days-of-prime-fall-event-159

River 2 Pro ... slightly cheaper than $400 deal from Costco ... so ... decisions decisions.

Updated the post to make this into a hackable deal similar to the last front page deal here:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16867871-ef-ecoflow-portable-power-station-river-2-256wh-lifepo4-battery-177-05

With the free solar charging cable, it effectively makes the River 2 only $136 (IYKYK)

Is 256Wh enough to power my Airsense 11 with all comfort features enabled for 8 hours?

According to Google. It looks like the Airsense 11 has a peak power draw of 73.2W. I would use this figure to calculate how many watts hour power generator you need.

73.2W x 8 hours x 1.25 to account for 80% usable capacity x 1.2 to account for the 15% DC/AC power loss = you will roughly need a power generator rated for around 900Ah (rounded up from 878Ah) to safely make it through 8 hours.

If you have a DC/DC power supply [cpap.com], you possibly only need a 73.2W x 8 hours x 1.25 to account for 80% usable capacity = 732Wh then you could use the River 2 Pro with a capacity of 768Wh.

River 2 itself came to 136.34 +tax after adding charging cable. I should note I had to use the coupon code associated with the Pro as the first one didn't work. Either way great deal and thanks OP!

Update. Looks like they updated the deal. It now also has a free camping light with coupon code R2NLIGHT.

Unfortunately, this means that the 6% off coupon no longer works.

This still makes the river 2 a smoking deal. $169 for the River 2 with free solar charge cable and camping light. It brings the price of the river 2 down to $100 after returning the two free gifts.

Just an FYI that the USB-C port of the River 2 is only 60W. Not all USB-C laptops will run off of 60W and many require 100W.

The River 2 Pro has a proper 100W USB-C port. I would buy it at Costco for $400 where it can be returned no questions asked. The Amazon listing does not allow returns, say "Non-returnable due to hazmat safety reasons", which is BS.

I'm not sure if you can trust this "hack". The gifts ship from Ecoflow, not amazon. I doubt they're going to make it easy to return those.

I bought this unit during the last sale. Returned because the 600w surge is total marketing BS. The appliance I'd tried it with is rated at 450w max, but the unit got overloaded and shut down the second I plugged it in. Maybe defective unit? Really itching to give this another shot since it is a better deal than last time.

EDIT: can anyone confirm/deny that this hack actually works? I don't have the need for a cheap light and a solar cable, so this wouldn't be that slick unless it's indeed hackable.

It's irrelevant how much the ubs-c can supply since it has a real power plug that can supposedly supply 300w, so you can charge/run your laptop the same way you always do it.

The 600W surge will only work for up 10s and not meant do sustain any appliance rated at more than 300W.

Think of the surge as being helpful for motor start up surges like refrigerators and AC units.

You will always get better runtime from USB-C (DC) than an adapter connected to AC.

The AC inverter itself uses energy to run. Then you have the inefficiency of converting DC energy of the battery to AC energy for the inverter to output. Then you're converting AC energy back to DC energy with an adapter for your laptop. If you have a cheap adapter that does not have Power Factor Correction (PFC) then a lot of the AC energy is lost to heat in the conversion to DC.

The combined efficiency of using an AC adapter with the portable power station may approach 50% at worst; as opposed to 80-90% or so with USB-C. Even the car socket is limited to 100W so using a 90% efficient DC to DC converter is precarious as a laptop may overload it.

Yes. Have personally used batteries in this range for this purpose many times. Exact life depends on heat and humidity settings but unless you're maxing out both in the desert I would expect more than 8hrs. I get several nights if I tweak the settings.

DC power supply is worth considering if you do this regularly.

I'm seeing the River for $120. What did you add exactly to your cart? I have the river, solar cable, and the $70 camping light. Then I used your coupon and it shows the river at $120. Is that correct?
