Like every TV with eArc (for those using a surround sound receiver with eArc) this has the issue of audio just stops working randomly but can be fixed by literally turning off and on again.
this sucker is BRIGHT and super clear. Very impressed. Just saw that there's an 100" for 3k that makes me tingle.

My big concern is the last Hisense (lower model R6040G) I had outdoors only lasted 18 months. I live three houses from the ocean in Florida, so humidity and salt in the air are killers. I didn't have a tv cover on that TV, so I'm hoping that'll help with longevity.

Which Costco? I've never seen the U8 series, this being the U8K. at Costco. I see the U7K or U75K and lower U6K models at Costco. I have a U8G from 2021 that has been mostly very good.

I brought it last week. The sound bar going off and on is too much hassle for me to deal with. I just use bluetooth now. That way I can always use the tv remote to control volume. If I go with optical I can't.
