I would use an endurance card. I have one from Samsung and it has held up well. I'm not sure if this SanDisk is rated for continuous write. I've used normal memory cards and they generally end up corrupting after years of use.

Thanks, but I think it'd be easier just to buy from a reputable vendor.

Viofo (the dash cam manufacturer) recommends this microsd card but not every dash cam supports 512gb size.

https://support.viofo.com/support...o-dashcam-

I'm running the Samsung Pro Endurance in my Viofo without issue. I'm not sure what Viofo is thinking behind Samsung's line.

I will say the SanDisk grey line in the bottom right, I've 100% corrupted those cards in my first dash cam because they couldn't handle that level of wear on the writing. I fully admit I was using it in an application it was not designed for.

Viofo recommending this card is weird to me, because even directly from Western Digital's spec page, it says:
https://www.westerndigital.com/pr...256G-AN6MA

Tested and certified to work seamlessly with Chromebooks
Up to 120MB/s transfer speeds let you move photos and files fast
Class 10 for Full HD video playback โ€“ watch right from the card
Water-proof, temperature proof, X-ray proof, magnet proof, shock proof

Nowhere does it say it's designed for continuous write.

Whereas look at Samsung's Pro Endurance page.
https://semiconductor.samsung.com...endurance/

Extreme endurance for monitoring devices
Take the worry out of always-on recording. Engineered to deliver longest lasting performance, the Samsung PRO Endurance is a perfect fit for CCTV, dash cams, and body cams. Capture your crucial moments in high-resolution, even in harsh conditions.

It's plain and apparent.

I have ordered micro SD cards from Amazon without issue. It's a matter of knowing how to use the tools and understanding what the results should be.

The counterfeits are not so great that they can fake write speeds and total written capacity.

Or I could just order it from somewhere reputable and not need to go through the hassle. Looks like B&H Photo currently has it for the same price, so I'll just go with that one instead of spending my time installing and learning software that I'm likely to use once a year at best.

Same price at B&H, the most reputable camera shop on the Internet. No reason to risk it at the Zon. Sorry, on mobile and can't link it.

You do realize that you should check out every memory card and ensure it works to specs before using it in your application, right? This goes beyond the legitimacy of the vendor selling the chip.

This claims up to 130Mbs while some other cards claim 150Mbs or more. What are the real world use cases where that might matter?

Check the warranty.

How about you enlighten us? Fine - I'll do it. Sandisk is Lifetime*. Samsung is 10 years. Essentially the same imo

In ten years, I don't think you're going to care about the warranty.

I ordered another Samsung Pro Endurance 256 gb card this morning and it's $12 cheaper and twice the capacity of what I paid 3 years ago.

Bought this for Viofo A139 Pro dashcam per Viofo's recommendation. I'm not sure either why Viofo recommends this card and not the Samsung Pro Endurance. That's the card my son uses for his A139 (non Pro version). No issues.

Unless you do 4K video recording or bust photography, you don't need anything this fast.

I got a few normal 128GB microSD free from Microcenter, in fact I go get another one today.

Absolutely, but out of principle I don't support Amazon for this shady practice.

The SanDisk 1TB Extreme is on sale for $87.99. I highly recommend it for the Nintedo Switch.
