  1. Get the Mint sim and get that activated. You get a new number XXX
  2. Sign up at Google voice, and port your current number NNN there.
  3. Google voice will ask you to provide the number to forward your calls to. Give XXX. They will verify through call or text.
  4. Install Google Voice on your phone and login with your google voice account.
  5. If you are using Android phone, go to the settings on Google Voice and configure it to route ALL calls through Google Voice. From that point even if you use your phone's standard dialer, it will automatically go through Google Voice.
  6. Everyone you call will see NNN.
  7. Everyone who calls at NNN will end up ringing your phone at XXX (of course, they dont see XXX).
  8. When the mint sim expires, get a new sim and number YYY. Reconfigure Google Voice to use YYY instead of XXX

If you are using iPhone, you cant route native dialer through Google Voice. You have to place the call using the Google Voice app. Incoming calls will still ring your phone at XXX.
If I forward through GV will this work when I do not have data service? I live in an area that often has black holes for data but still has a bit of service.

I've had GoogleVoice for almost 15 years and besides GrooveIP back in 2010, I don't ever use an app. I call from the GV number directly from my phone's native dailer or text. Also, we've been doing the Mint deal on multiple phones for a few years and porting our same real number in and out. I've went into detail before on both of these methods and they have been around on SlickDeals for years.
How do you set up your phone's native phone app to use Google Voice number?

I dont think it will work without data. It uses a little data before starting the call. The call itself is routed through your voice network (so it wont use data during the call), but I dont think you can initiate a call without data.

i dont see any activation code on the receipt. how would the card be activated if the code be missing from the receipt? I only see the sku number on the receipt

Quote from AnciusD :
There's an Activation Code on each sim kit card. Ignore the Activate By date below it. It's not applicable to the carrier (Mint) but a TMO network expiry date.

The activation code isn't on the Target receipt, it's on the back of the sim kit card. I don't understand, what did you buy?

On the entire thread, it appears there is only one confirmation of getting the 3+3 months. Anyone else had success getting the 3+3 months?

Signed up the target 5G deal. Then looking at the renewal rate, $75 for 3 months. Checked the website of Mint again, which is geared toward new users with new users' price. It was very misleading. How you guys renew? Can't be that you take the $25 monthly for 5G data, do you?

1. If you buy this, does this plan automatically start from when you buy it? If not, how long can you wait before you activate it? Say you already on a prepaid plan but you paid yearly or monthly for say ultramobile or lycamobile and you pay say $15-$20 a month for it. Can you buy this and activate it many months later? If so, how late can you activate it? Also it comes with the sim card as well?

2. If you are buying this, is the intention only for 3 months? So after 3 months, you going to buy another mint mobile plan or you can switch back to your ultramobile or lycamobile plan? Does ultramobile or lycamobile not allow you to join again if you don't use them for 3 months and then come back to them or they don't care? But as long as you have the ultramobile or lycamobile sim card, you are fine? You don't need to buy a new sim right? Now if you later months down the line go back to mint mobile, can you keep the same mint mobile pin?

3. Is this a great deal since even getting the 5gb/month plan, you pay $60 and get a $45 target gift card so you paying $15 for 3 months so $5 a month only? But that $60 you pay, you have to pay tax right? So $66 for 3 months but $45 target gift card so $21 total and $7 a month?

You choose the 15gb/month plan you pay $60 plus tax and get $40 gift card so you pay around $22 so just barely more than the 5gb/month plan and get 10gb more data a month?

You choose the unlimted everthing plan, you pay $90 so with tax say $99. Subtract the $60 gift card so you pay around $39 so $13 for unlimited everything. Is the math here correct?

So could someone do this plan every 3 months with mint mobile and keep repeating it? I mean that seems cheaper than the cheaper phone plans like ultramobile and lycamobile even with say the 1gb or 3gb plans from them?

Can you stack this with a referral when you sign up on Mint?
I think it's a better deal if you do a referral which will get you between $45 and $90 in Mint credit (plus the new line gets $15.) You can get buy 3 months get three months free via the referral. Between the free 3 months and the referral bonus, I think it's the better deal assuming that it can't stack, which someone has already said it will not.

I have this same question - but for 4 lines. The offers are for "new customers". Does buying 4 SIM Kits make me a new customer for #1, but not a new customer for 2-4 (even with 4 separate lines, none of which have been on Mint Mobile before)? Or do i have to setup a separate account for each number?

What i'm trying to say is.
I scanned the 15gb sim card package. When I buy other GC, I usually see the serial number on the physical receipt. I'm not seeing anything that could identify my specific sim card on the receipt. I only see the item number and that's it.
Usually if i scanned the wrong bar code, the transaction wouldn't complete. I don't recall what was scanned but it basically charged me for the sim card $60 and the bonus Target gc.
I won't be activating the sims for another few weeks and i'm concerned when I go activate, it will not be activated.

see attached
