I was waiting for a deal on this one because the same-price "Ultra" model has a thick cap containing the extra attachments, and that cap is more cumbersome and breaks open sometimes with the nozzles flying all over the place.

If your Waterpik hose broke, then don't buy a new Waterpik unit! You can buy a 3rd party hose and handle that screw into this unit. I actually like the 3rd party hose handles better because it uses a button instead of a switch to stop the water flow. That button allows you to have even more variable control over the stream, not unlike an Xbox controller trigger.

Take a dvd case and put it on the sink. About how much space it'll take up.

I like the waterpik since they have more tip types. It even has one to for your nose, tongue tip, etc. It's hard to believe. You can also buy third-party tips. The Amazon version has pulsing/massage mode. Philips, I think, only has one tip type.

I bought this in 2021 for $43 when full price was $70.
The "hose" is hard as a rock and a pain to use.

Skip waterpik altogether and go with Phillips like this. It's way better IMO:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/phil...Id=6483387

Waterpik has a single stream head while phillips has a quad stream head. It cleans way better, much faster, covering more area as you sweep your teeth and gumlines. I used waterpik for 8yrs and last two years with Phillips, I'll never go back to waterpik.

Interesting! I did not know Phillips has a similar product.

The issue I have been having with EVERY waterpik that I have owned is that the tank always leak from the small hole at the bottom after a few years.

Only one power setting. While the Waterpik has ten.

I haven't owned a cordless water flosser from Waterpik, but I've used multiple models of other cheapo brands and they all have the same main problem: the stream is less continuous and the water feels more "sharp" and painful, even at a lower pressure. It's hard to explain.

After that, I've brought my corded Waterpik even when traveling. I'm afraid to try a cordless Waterpik because they are kind of expensive and I'm afraid that it might have the same problem as the others.

As for the off-brand cordless ones I owned, I gave one away and repurposed the other as a handheld cleaning tool for special cases.
Cordless water stream is certainly not as powerful as corded one and does not have many water settings. I remember I had a Waterpik cordless several years ago and then upgraded to a Panasonic one. It uses two AA batteries so water stream power also depends on the battery level. It's convenient to carry when travel and works but don't expect it to be like corded one. Does the newer cordless use rechargeable Li-Ion?

No, this is not a handheld bidet - most people don't use this on their bottom... That would hurt quite a lot - water pressure is quite strong.
You just didn't do it right. It's not supposed to go up your butt.

Agree, the Philips has not leaked so far, which means less water pool, less mold and cleaner base..

That said, waterpik has more pressure and gets more out from between the teeth... IMHO

Wondering if you know whether Phillips 3000 water flosser is dual voltage 110/220v or only 110v according its AC adapter?

Yes it is dual voltage. Really key if you take it abroad. Not sure why waterpik never did dual voltage. I've used mine in London with no issues.
