i placed the order for the digital gift card first and typed in the code. took 5 minutes then i got the gift card and an email saying i got my promotional balance applied to my account instantly.
went to buy the physical gift card next and the $15 credit applied knocking that down to $85 along with giving another $10 promo credit

Beware that the promotional credits may not always work. I ordered the Apple electronic gift card, got the $15 promotional credit and then applied that credit to order the $100 Apple physical gift card. After I placed the order, I received an email from Amazon that my transaction was automatically cancelled due to my credit card being denied (I have no idea why it was denied since it was the same card that I had used for the previous transaction). When I tried a second time to make the same transaction, the promotional credit had disappeared. I contacted Amazon customer support and finally got to talk to a supervisor after being put on hold for about a half hour. The supervisor was able to issue me another $15 credit to resolve the issue.

Even more reason to abandon Amazon.

Apple code might be dead is it's not working any more.

Update: I followed the verification instructions Amazon asks when logging in to the blocked account.

The credit card statement photo upload they ask for is BS but I did it anyway. I blocked out the full account number only leaving the last 4 digits of the card visible along with my name and address.

Literally a minute after I submitted it I got an email from Amazon stating my account was unblocked.

My card was charged for the Apple GC afterwards and was processed pretty soon. I luckily got a separate email stating the $15 Amazon credit was added to my account.

I'm guessing your orders will go though once you do the credit card statement verification upload. It's their BS automated system to combat fraud or whatever.

PS: The targeted "CITI15OFF" code stacks with this $15 credit. I'm guessing the "AMEX15OFF" code works as well. I believe these credits only work on products sold and shipped from Amazon.

Good deal, just beware you forfeit your +1 year extended warranty if you use gift cards for part of the purchase. For example, in your macbook dies in 1.9 years, Visa Signature cards will refund you 100%, but not if a gift card partially paid for it. I learned this after a long battle with Visa extended warrenty department. Just a grain of salt to consider.

Hi guys, Does anyone know how this $15 Promotional Credit Work?

1st Bought Digital Apple GC - Paid $100 - Received Email saying $15 Promotional Credit
2nd Bought Physical Apple GC - Paid $85 ($15 Promotional Credit Applied) - Received another Email saying $15 Credit

Tried to use that credit toward ordinary items in Amazon but the 2nd promotional credit never shows up. Just when I was about to give up, I added $100 Physical Apple GC just to see what happens and the 2nd promotional credit showed up. However when I changed to $100 Amazon GC the credit does not appear again. Now I'm confused. Is Apple GC the only way to use that $15 Promotional Credit?

Regular items need to be "shipped & sold by Amazon" directly (no 3rd party sellers) -- you can also use it on 3rd party gift cards like restaurant/retail/travel/etc (not Amazon or prepaid debit cards)
