Purchased one of these a couple weeks ago at the same price for BF/Cyber Monday and I'm very happy with it so far. Great looking screen, snappy performance, feels solidly built, good battery life so far and not a ton of bloatware. I would recommend it for a non dedicated gaming all around solid performer.

Absolutely not.
This is only the 4th or 5th time that it's going for this price, I reckon, 2-3 of those times were in this holiday season and the other times was months ago, not "every other week".

They put it at this price coz it sells so much. Everytime this deal has at this price has made it to FP, over here. Also, the fact that it's going for this price often is a foreshadowing that it might get even $50 cheaper than this by Christmas.

Very few ultra books have GPU. Not everyone needs or wants want. .
Either way, you won't find a better laptop at this price. This has set the bar for new pricing. Laptops have crashed in price through 2023, finally.

Warp it anyway to suit your definition, right? Lol, at least the readers now know your statement defines the meaning of disingenuous.

Good try though.

"3 times in 40 days." Why not specify how many days total it was on sale instead you just say 3 times? Because you're cherry picking just as bad lol.

Then goes on to say, "$999 between sales!".. Lol which is BS too Mr. Cherry Picker. It's been between 999 and 700.

Lol um ok? I mean, I get the reference but kinda weird.

Anyways, this is an OK deal. But yea, $700 in July.. It's due to get cheaper soon
Wow, are you two philosophers or lawyers (or pre-teens) or something? There's enough "see, I told ya" to share. Let it go already.

Anyway, I do think there's at least a near future chance (e.g., Jan/Feb) to buy this unit on post-Xmas 'dip'. That's how I got another -$100 off my Acer SwiftEdge 16" last year from Costco. Delayed purchase intentionally, hoping to capitalize on what I had observed as an occasional, model-specific pricing pattern in the past.

Hmm person who randomly brings weird politics in a deal forum.. is stating what's disingenuous.

Hm also the same person who said it was only on sale 3 times when in fact it was more than than that, then backpedals and says "well it was only for 5 days it was on sale" lol

Bought this at the last sale... Was debating ahead between this and Lenovo slim 7 x pro.

This Asus is a good build, great specs and great screen. But, she is hot and she is loud. And for those reasons I'm returning her.

All I do is web/zoom/teams, outlook and periodic Adobe.

There's a software installed by default called MyAsus and you can change the fan speed levels to like whisper quiet, normal, and highspeed.

As always, good, but not perfect. Screen? Yes, definitely a looker.

But, who needs " 14-cores (6P+8E), 20-threads" in $700 laptop?
I would trade 8 cores for:
decent graphics card or
less weight or
$100 less in price.

just replace the cpu with a ryzen 7840hs, it would be best deal, not sure why they went with intel in first place

How long does the battery last you with casual usage?
I usually set it at 80% charge to prolong battery life. I would say ard 4 to 5hrs for music and web surfing

its hard to compare Apple w Orange.
Apple will certainly beat Asus on battery life and fan noise

Referring to this one?
Lenovo - Slim 7 Pro X 14" 3K Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS-CE - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 MAXQ with 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Onyx Grey

Not bad for a 3k 120hz touch screen with a better Graphic card , 1 TB SSD. Both are 2023 model. $100 dollars diff

A few years ago they were including mx350/mx450 with base zenbooks but higher ram, storage and a much nicer screen aren't a bad trade off. However they also sold at least $100 cheaper on sale.
