This is only the 4th or 5th time that it's going for this price, I reckon, 2-3 of those times were in this holiday season and the other times was months ago, not "every other week".
They put it at this price coz it sells so much. Everytime this deal has at this price has made it to FP, over here. Also, the fact that it's going for this price often is a foreshadowing that it might get even $50 cheaper than this by Christmas.
Either way, you won't find a better laptop at this price. This has set the bar for new pricing. Laptops have crashed in price through 2023, finally.

Good try though.
"3 times in 40 days." Why not specify how many days total it was on sale instead you just say 3 times? Because you're cherry picking just as bad lol.
Then goes on to say, "$999 between sales!".. Lol which is BS too Mr. Cherry Picker. It's been between 999 and 700.
Lol um ok? I mean, I get the reference but kinda weird.
Anyways, this is an OK deal. But yea, $700 in July.. It's due to get cheaper soon
Anyway, I do think there's at least a near future chance (e.g., Jan/Feb) to buy this unit on post-Xmas 'dip'. That's how I got another -$100 off my Acer SwiftEdge 16" last year from Costco. Delayed purchase intentionally, hoping to capitalize on what I had observed as an occasional, model-specific pricing pattern in the past.
.
Hm also the same person who said it was only on sale 3 times when in fact it was more than than that, then backpedals and says "well it was only for 5 days it was on sale" lol

This Asus is a good build, great specs and great screen. But, she is hot and she is loud. And for those reasons I'm returning her.
All I do is web/zoom/teams, outlook and periodic Adobe.

But, who needs " 14-cores (6P+8E), 20-threads" in $700 laptop?
I would trade 8 cores for:
decent graphics card or
less weight or
$100 less in price.

Apple will certainly beat Asus on battery life and fan noise

Lenovo - Slim 7 Pro X 14" 3K Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS-CE - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 MAXQ with 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Onyx Grey
Not bad for a 3k 120hz touch screen with a better Graphic card , 1 TB SSD. Both are 2023 model. $100 dollars diff
