I think it's stupid that ship to store has a handling fee. Most retailers offer free shipping to store. If you are making the customer come into the store why ask them to pay for shipping.
I think advertising 'free shipping' and calling it 'handling fee' is just disingenuous. If they have it in stock at the store there is no handling fee. So essentially it's no different from shipping. It just reeks of bad advertising practice. I wish there were some kind of oversight via business bureaus or something. Yes, we all understand shipping costs them and it's not free. They have the right to charge for it. But then they ought not get to advertise 'free shipping'.
Overall it was a good deal. Was able to use the 10% off coupon, the $15 off $60 coupon (for signing up for text messages), a $10 coupon I had for Amazon return. Also used 15% off on staples gift card via discover points redemption (got a $70 gc for $59.50). After taxes, I paid $62.56 net.
Thanks to folks for recommending the 'spin the wheel' trick. It wouldn't come up on my phone browser, so opened up Chrome on my desktop and it came up. Asked for both email and phone sign-up. I used my google voice number and the message came through. I'll unsubscribe right away, so maybe I can use the phone sign-up again for a future purchase.
But I know this is the most liked budget office chair around, so I'm willing to take a chance, especially at this price. I worry about the seat becoming uncomfortable for long sessions, since mesh is not always the most supportive material. can anyone speak to that?
