Today is a blessed day, I get to complain about this chair twice!

The Hyken remains one of the worst chairs I have ever owned. I went through a piston pretty early and had to replace it, and the material is very stiff and scratchy. It has caused every piece of fleece I own that touched it to shred and pill immediately. It gave me back issues for years until I finally picked up a Herman Miller.

The once nice thing I can say about it doesn't take up very much space. I want to throw out the one I have but I'm worried some poor bastard will come and pick it up off my curb and suffer and I can't do that to my fellow man.
I bought one of these a few years ago. If you are 6ft or taller, the headrest will literally sit between your shoulder blades. Also, im a 38" waist, and my hips just barely clear the arm rests. I have plopped down a few times and almost fell out of the chair because the arm rest will catch on my ass somewhere. The lumbar thingy is a joke. I feel like it needs to go higher (Im 6ft tall). The armrests dont retract laterally, just move up and down, minor complaint. I found the chair overall too small for me. Office chairs are one of those things you should go and try out in person, i found out the hard way.
Perhaps the best computer chair for around $100. As always, if you're tall do the headrest mod:

I got these from a prior deal for less. I think it's good and like how supportive it is. For people over 5'10" the headrest might be an issue. At this price knowing what I know now, I think I would still buy it. For the price it's hard to beat.

Yeah it's pretty bad if being used for an everyday chair for an adult. It also gave me back issues eventually and also piston failed within about a year..

If this is for your livelihood or you spend a lot of time in a chair, get a real chair. Do whatever you have to do to find one you can buy.

I was at Staples just yesterday, literally thinking the same thing. The head rest is very odd. I thought it was broken or something then I realized it doesn't move up and down but kinda swivels, useless for tall people.

I went through several chairs, I think the best one is still iskur x gaming chair, I wish they made that type of design but for office setting. We have that chair for kids computer, and the amount of adjustments and the support is just unmatched by any "office" chair sold at staples.

Having said that, I found one lazy boy solid bottom, mesh back chair to be pretty close but still not a fan that arm rests sit too far from backrest, creating a gap. It's la-z-boy Joel. It's also cheaper in store, $229.
Has anyone every tried that chair?

I added the chair to my shopping cart yesterday but didn't purchase it. I got an email from Staples a few hours later with subject title "Psssst...". In the email, there was a $10 off coupon. I was able to use the coupon today to purchase the chair.

Okay, here's the obligatory comments:

1) If you're in the big/tall category, consider the Dexley - the Dexley is basically the bigger version of the Hyken. Note the Dexley is $180 right now.

2) You may possibly see a "Spin to Win" pop-up, which gives you a $15 discount on a $60+ order when you sign up for emails/texts. This drops the price to $85. Super duper slick, indeed!

Thanks for sharing! nod I don't see that email, so perhaps YMMV.

I tried this in store and just couldn't get comfortable.

Hon Ignition Reactiv is still available at Costco for $369. If you sit in the same chair all day every day I think it's worth it: https://www.costco.com/hon-igniti...89520.html

And, I usually use Aaron medium sized chair, and this one is definitely narrower than that.
