Solid Deal, the other laptops in those links either have an old gen intel processor, slower ryzen processors, ddr4 instead of ddr5 for that Tuf laptop, worse screen, etc. Rtx 4070 vs 4060 on a laptop is only a 10% difference in speed at best.

Pretty good, I have owned mine for 5 months and paid $1350 for it , well worth it at the time and still a great unit. The fans only get loud under a heavy gaming load, other than that its actually very quiet, impressively so. CPU has liquid metal thermal paste and the fans are made of metal so it dissipates heat very well.

One of my favorite laptops ever. Screen is really bright too and quite impressive.

Power brick is a 330 watt unit so it is large but this laptop can pull some serious wattage, CPU will boost to 157 watts and GPU is capable of 140 watts, but commonly wont usually go above 100 watts due to 1 volt limit. With "Turbo" mode turned on it scores similar to a stock laptop 140 watt RTX 3070 chip. Strong performance using about 40 watts less energy plus 40 series tech upgrades.

How does this compare/contrast to this Lenovo (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...o_5i.html) with the same GPU and CPU for $250 more?

I'm looking for a mid-level gaming laptop that I can connect to an external monitor while gaming but also use around the house for surfing/excel/etc. Rarely would be using it outside the home.

What is the issue with a monitor being 60hz? Isn't as long as the monitor isn't 30hz then it's good? I heard 30hz with a 4k monitor is when there is stuttering and freezing?


So as long as you aren't playing games, 60hz is fine? You doing anything else but playing games is fine?

Significantly better GPU, thats what matters when you are gaming, the CPU unless you running 3's/5's all low level dont matter for anything. Very few games are CPU dependent, you are welcome for the knowledge!

What are people talking about saying the intel is significantly weaker?
Both the Intel i7-13700HX and AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS are almost exactly the same..
the i7 has 16 cores vs 8 on Ryzen (but it's not REALLY all 16 cores being used)

CPU BENCHMARKS [cpubenchmark.net]

This deal is $999.99 for the Intel cpu + RTX 4060 + 1tb ssd,
vs
Walmart $1029.99 for for the Ryzen cpu + RTX 4070 + 516gb ssd.

RTX 4060 vs RTX 4070 difference is 10% at most.
Intel cpu is slightly better and you get 1tb SSD instead of 512gb.

$30 more for 50% less storage, 10% better gpu, and slightly worse cpu?
or $30 less for 50% more storage, 10% worse gpu, and slightly better cpu?

Because the GPU is the big difference, more important than TB4 or anything else. The GPU will easily outpace the 4060 by 10-20% increase in FPS.
