Crazy 600mm/s. K1 is 12 times faster than a regular FDM 3D printer. Now, sit tight for the thrill of breathtaking speed. K1, with its stunning speed, will kindle people's zeal for 3D printing. A fast speed cuts printing time and raises efficiency. It uses less energy for the same output, thus more eco-friendly. Most importantly, it focuses on the pure joy of creation. With 20000mm/s² acceleration, K1 ramps up to 600mm/s in only 0.03s, delivering full speed in 90% of the printing time. K1 combines the nimble Core XY with a 190g lightweight printhead for less motion inertia. Agile and swift. New ceramic heater, encircling the entire hotend. It heats to 200? in 40s and melts the filament instantly. Dual-gear direct extruder, delivering 50N strong extrusion force. Hotend with a titanium alloy heatbreak and a copper alloy nozzle, working with flying colors in up to 300?. A large fan on the printhead with air ducts cools the model directly. An 18W auxiliary fan in the build chamber enhances the cooling effect, too. The model hardens before any stringing and warping could happen. It allows support-free bridges and overhangs. The latest self-developed slicer Creality Print 4.3 includes rich presets, and streamlines the slicing process into 3 simple stages. Even better, it bolsters high-speed printing with variable line width, arc path, and so on. K1 adopts the smart Creality OS. It features a straightforward UI, and syncs data and commands with PC, phone, Cloud, and add-on modules. The snappy dual-core 1.2GHz CPU powers high-speed printing with ease. The 8G ROM stores up to 400 model files and enables quick writing and reading.

They just pushed a new firmware today that cut the noise by a huge margin, so I am now 100% happy. (I also put the printer on a 16" paver from home depot, sitting on a block of foam).
Well said. Hobby is 3D printing. Not tinkering. If tinkering is your hobby, then Bambu Lab is not the right one.
Many people have great plug and play experiences with k1. Myself included.
Tired of fanboys gumming up the info channels on every other deal/forum/etc.
Amen!
One does a little bit more for more money.
Open source vs. closed source.
Don't just follow all content creators words, they get paid by these companies to say what you want to hear.
Just get what's right for yourself and your needs or wants.
Happy New Year everyone!
That's a great comparison. I am sure an iPhone works but I prefer paying a little less and having more freedom on how I use my phone. Same goes to printers. I'm sure Bambu printers work well, but it doesn't mean other printers won't work.
I jumped on the BF deal on K1 and have been very happy.
The rooting is really simple as is installing fluidd.
After that, you can send files directly from Orca slicer.
The Creality K1 camera is about $20, worth adding imo.
My biggest concern was sound. Yes, anything printing at Max speed is going to be loud. Create a new profile on your slicer and slow down speed and acceleration and you have a quieter printer. If you are not running a print farm at full capacity, why rush anyway?
