Good luck. Hopefully it was one of those we really needed something more affordable returns.

Ended up picking up this M3 MB Pro • M3 Pro w/ this config for $1799 *Tax/Duty Free from AAFES (*Military Exchange) *Price Matched via Amazon 20days ago (haven't opened it yet) — been using 2019 MacBook 12" …biggest gripe is one USB port (Yes USB C - Thunderbolt 3) ; cause I love the MacBook (No Pro/ No Air) the last of the originals… bought it brand new for like $600 approx 18+ months ago via Best Buy transfer 2 Military PX thing*** — Sealed & Warrantied from Apple; besides all the nice perks and performance boost for editing / ie) future gaming etc… —if I had 8MB more Ram and 1 More Port (and native support for latest OS) …it literally runs like a dream and is sealed no fans… amazing light …wow!

But I jumped on the AAFES / Military Star offer and grabbed it and the 5G Cellular iPad Mini 256G too… btw ***Opinion Mod Apology in advance w/ new Mini on horizon, worth keeping it? before I open the new MB Pro up… should I wait? w/ New mini on Horizon… and with MB Pro …Maybe save a $75-$100 purchasing this with Duty/Tax or bite the insignificant difference?

Keep my New or Return Exchange?

I have iPad Pro 11" Cellular w/ Magic KB as daily driver …and MacBook as mentioned…

And as far as my iPad Mini 5G / 6th Gen 2021…

Worth opening it as a fun easy to consume social media / YouTube & watch vids / clips …etc? (*I know iPad question is out of scope a bit but as a 20yr+ member; I appreciate feedback)

Thanks, *Stay Safe Ladies & Gents!

Good luck. Unfortunately, it took me a couple tries to get a truly "excellent" one. The first had a gash on the front and the second had some seemingly permanent adhesive on the screen. The things we do to save a buck…

There is no pick up available near my area. Is there any risk shipping the order on open box items

Only risk is that new/excellent open box. Label on product is via Best Buy team member… In the end, it all comes down to dealing with Best Buy…

At the end of the day, unless you go in store and actually hold it in hand, they could promise you the world condition wise.

It really comes down to the hassle and hoping for the best.

But we all know Best Buy. It's basically a crapshoot unless you are there per my experience, in the New York Metro area.

Makes one wonder what about a shiny, new MBP M3 Pro as a Christmas gift that someone would return one? Most people don't surprise gift someone who has no desire for a MacBook, with a MacBook! So most of those gifted one, wanted one!
people returned it and wanted macbook air m2, half of the price and good enough for avg users.

Same - I had good luck with my initial open box that I returned, it was Dec'2023 purchase date but returned cus screen was too big - and got a 14" that was pretty used up and multiple battery cycles and warranty was almost expired so returning that.

Thanks for taking the time to read and just say negative / thumbs down…

Time and a place for everything… I get it.

But there was a 2 questions in there worth exchanging new for used / like new avail near me or keep new sealed for price difference?

w/ added iPad quick question.

No problem. — No "Semper Fidelis" from you guys… crowd has changed in 20yrs.

Anyway I'll take my question down.

Happy New Year

Look for Open Box link on that page and you will see it. I see the 1566.99 option.

looks like this is Xmas return mark-downs or people who just didn't get enough performance boost from maybe their M1 or M2 machines.

I will return my M3 Max if I see a great open box deal later.
And then I'll pick that up as an open box. 😀
