My Toyota hybrid calls for 0-w16 if available and 0-w20 if not. Do you think this is better than the regular 0-w16 available?
Who told you that, the manual? I like to believe that but the general census is that you can only use 0w-20 one time but must use 0W-16 on the next oil change
So, I actually looked up the manual and yes, it says you can use 0w-20 for one time but you MUST use 0w-16 on the next oil change

FWIW I believe changing oil every 5K miles is excessive. I change my engine oil and oil filter every 10K to 15K on my Prius C and I haven't seen any issues with wear and tear. In fact I drove my first 2012 Prius C for more than 250K miles and then gave it to my daughter, she's still driving it today. I'm on my second Prius C a 2015 model and it has over 220K miles on it with the same oil change intervals of 10-15K without any issues. Toyota recommends changing oil every 10K miles on the Prius C.
I like that it has dexos in it. This will be perfect for my hybrid! I just had an oil change a couple months ago, so if I get this I'll save it for the next one.
Edit - actually the Penzoil brand I got was $5 cheaper off Amazon. It's still $23 right now so I'll probably just get that instead.
Just to clarify Dexos is a gm certification standard not some type of additive but i understand what you are saying
Is this a deal? I've been changing my oil with mobil1 from walmart for at least a decade now, and these gallon jugs of mobile1 have always been between $25-$30 (approx) at my local store.
You might look into the larger garage boxes to save a bit of money if you go through enough
