FYI, this CSX model with drone capability (phone start), was $280 1 year ago is lowest it's been according to previous SD posts.

The lowest the DC3 CS4905S-KIT ( aka non-CSX model) has ever been is $220, which was a day October 2023, which I got installed on my 2014 Toyota Sienna. It's been fantastic.

The non-CSX version doesn't get lower than this price though, but often dips down to $250. Make sure you order with the free harness though when you place the order. The guy told me so many times people don't do that and they have to reschedule the install and charge for it.

Here was lowest price for the non-CSX 2 remotes, 3+ mo ago in October. Just a data point if you're wondering how this price compares for premium drone capability.

Any luck with a manual car?
You have to buy the CMX version, not the DC3 version. You'll also need the FT-DASII. But yes, possible, and very safe if done according to the instructions.

Were you able to cancel ? I bought last week too the non LTE
I tried to cancel earlier this week when I heard that I needed to "sacrifice" 1 car key (technician need to wrap it up close to the module and let it always inside), also reducing the remote distance as well.

I chatted with CS agent and they told they couldn't cancel it for some reason and told me to wait until I get a pick up notification.
What year, make, and model car? Manual or auto transmission?

Can you install this with LTE module however only use remote start with key fob and not enable LTE/phone... is that possible?
Yes. LTE is optional, you have to pay for subscription if you want that option. Otherwise just have to use the fob. From my personal research.

I just bought and installed the CS4905S (non-LTE) version. Looks like the only difference is their LTE module and the second (1-way) remote. I'm not sure I want the LTE, but for the same price, maybe I could buy this and return the CS4905S without uninstalling it. It has the same remote start module part number (CM-DC3). Then I would have the X1-LTE
Drone X1 LTE/GPS Module if I ever wanted to add LTE. I'd have to give back the backup remote.

Has anyone done this or plan to?
I assume you mean to place the new brain and wire harness into the old box (to return it) and just add the drone unit to your existing alarm. Yes you can. The harness will be the same, as the drone unit has it's own harness

Only time I've see the non-CSX model for less than $220 was in Nov 2022 for $150 with installation but that was with the Best Buy membership. Otherwise it would have been $250. This is an amazing deal.

Yeah you can. Or just don't install the drone module. If I were to do this, then I would look for a kit that comes with 2 key fobs instead of 1 fob and drone.

Some Compustar 2-way security/remote start systems are too complicated to install for geek squad. I bought the CS7900-AS from amazon for my 2021 nissan sentra. On my appointment day, BestBuy Geek Squad called and said that I need a separate blade that they don't carry at the store. Had to be purchased from Amazon. My appt that day had to be rescheduled in 2 weeks.

A few days before the next appt, they called again & said that it's too complicated to install since he only has about 3 years of experience. He recommended that I switch my appointment to a different day, again, when the other geek squad member with more experience can help with the installation.
I ended up switching it to Viper 2-way security. So you might want to confirm they can install it for you without any additional parts. Or u're gonna have to reschedule ur appointment.

When you sell your car, if you want to keep it you can have it uninstalled at Bestbuy (free). You can install in another vehicle yourself or pay Best buy for installation.

For those installed on your Toyota. Does the engine turn off issue when the door is open happens only if you start your car from the remote or also happens with press start button? Thanks.

Technically yes, but you would still have to have someone undo the install and change the wiring back to the way it was and then re-install it. I'm certain that best buy will not do that for you (at least not with posting their service tech the standard labor costs + parts).
Best buy will uninstall it for free but charge installation (in another) fee.

Absolutely but I would stress this to the shop or installer if possible. Worst case scenario you can repurchase some of the harnesses if necessary for your future install if they become damaged. This unit sports a lifetime warranty once installed at permitted service centers and it is my favorite brand.

The vehicle should only be powering down if it is remote started and not covered under the firmware for takeover. I am unaware of any Toyota that will power off once started from the PTS button before or after having one of these installed. If you are experiencing that I would recommend taking the vehicle in to be checked over.
