I was going to post this but since it's sold by and shipped by BeachAudio I think SD will remove it.

I bought a spare and also got one from the MSI store with the RB for $50 making it $200.

Nicest board I have ever used. Remember it's a E-ATX MB and you need a case that is E-ATX.

I put it into a Thermaltake View 51 that I got for around $140. Not rated for E-ATX but fits just fine.
$188 direct from BeachAudio free shipping. Going to keep the Amazon order as I think if a problem happens it will be handled better by Amazon maybe.
Thanks for sharing your experience Smilie For future reference 3rd party Amazon sellers just need to have 750 ratings to prove they have some track record

That's a great price. Many of these gaming boards have prosumer-level features. None have ECC, which is why they don't trip that alarm, but 3x functional x16 slots are really versatile. I didn't look into it, but if those can bifurcate, then this board can be a screaming flash-nas

I would get the MSI MEG Z690 ACE still. You will need to flash the bios and need a case that supports E-ATX or one like the Thermaltake View 51 that's not listed as supporting E-ATX but will work with this MB.

Newegg has some good sales going on right now like Black Friday Extended and 23rd Anniversary Sale if you need DDR5, SSD, PSU, Case etc.

I know very little... this Meg looks AMAZING! But - I would go with the 790 for faster RAM and more flexibility on the case. I can't see a world where I would use more than one pci x 16 slot ... though the idea of having three is cool. I would prefer $30 less in the case and get something I just prefer... unless I already loved an E-atx case. Faster memory seems like something I'd be more likely to use than all that expansion capability. Just me.

I just bought this board at the end of December from MSI directly for $250 - $50 rebate = $200 (but haven't received rebate yet).

This is a high-end board and you're barely giving up anything with the 690 over the 790. I put a 13700k in there and had to flash bios first, which is an easy process. Just make sure the USB drive is formatted as an MBR or the flash won't work.

The frustrating thing is what you have to pay for a board with these features nowadays. Last time I built (2017), I bought what would now be a $700 Asus board for $250. The Z690 is basically "2" versions behind (13 series was the first Z790 and then everyone did a Z790 refresh board for the 14 series Intels). So this board is effectively a couple years old, and took this long to get down to this price. The PC industry is out of control right now.

Any case recommendations for this E-ATX board?
