Be warned that this game has problems. The core game play has promise but it isn't as developed as the xcom games. The biggest drawback is that the thin RPG that's wrapped around the tactical game play is not fun, interesting and doesn't tie in well with the battles. It's written for a target audience that's maybe middle school aged - it's corny even for a marvel theme. What's worse is the rpg has super long dialogues and senseless fetch quests that are unskippable. After the first few hours I just tried to mash through those just to get to the tactical play but it's too tedious.
I bought it day one as a fan of the developer and marvel but I really regret it.
It's a tactical strategy game

I find the RPG elements a lot of fun. Obviously if you are looking for a more combat / tactical based game like the XCOMs, Midnight Suns isn't for you.
