I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

No trade in assessment complete email. Spectrum tradein portal still showing "Your device was received at our warehouse on 02/02/2024. It should be assessed by 02/04/2024." but received the trade in credit in my spectrum account and already have it back on CC with a 2 minute phone call to spectrum.
can you post screenshot of how the credit looks in your account? thanks!

Having that proof is going to be worthless in the long run. They will just say that the chat rep was misinformed and will brush it off. You should know by now how these customer service works if you had prior poor experience.

The other person took action too soon like I said. I told you the same thing too which was to to wait and what happened to you? You said it was a miracle but was it really? I guarantee you that if you hadn't waited and opened a chargeback, it would've made for a far more messier situation by now. My point is, don't overcomplicate things if you're not sure what's going to happen.

But hey, what do I know. Hindsight be damned. Trying to give my 2cents so that it's easier for all of you but whatever.

P.S. I got my second trade in credit today as well. Must be some of that little miracle magic working for me too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You definitely seem to not be understanding the issues or complaints people are having. People have concern about the 14 day return window ending and them not honoring the trade in (i.e. trade in getting rejected). People did not want to end up with 14 day return window expiring and getting stuck with having to pay full price. As both you and I acknowledge, Spectrum customer service seems to say random things that are untrue and only end up following what is outlined in their policies. Hence, the person above and myself were getting concerned when the 14 day return period was ending because we felt that if it ended then they would not honor a return. Your advice to just wait it out and deal with it afterwards goes against your entire rhetoric. You are just playing bother sides of the coin in hindsight.

Obviously I was speaking tongue in cheek about miracle because my trade in was accepted at literally the 14 day mark, which was the final day for my return. I was not saying it was a miracle that I received the credit, I was commenting on the timing. So please feel free to get off your high horse.

This is the reply I got from Assurant :

"I am terribly sorry you were given the wrong information. Unfortunately, we are not able to send a manual check as the credits have already been sent electronically to Spectrum Mobile. It is now up to them to give you the credits on your account. I suggest you may want to visit a mobile store or call the customer support line for Spectrum Mobile again to see if they can provide you with an accurate resolution. This mistake is on their end and there is nothing more we can do. We have no access to your account with Spectrum Mobile and so they will need to be the ones to place the credits on your account."
Nahhhhh

When you call Spectrum, they will point the finger at Assurant and will tell you to contact them as they won't apply the credit. They will tell you to get the device back from Assurant.

You should probably prepare filing for FCC formal complaint to get either the credit or device back. If the device was already assessed and processed, it will probably be impossible to get it back now from Assurant unfortunately.

Honestly, this is Spectrum's fault but it should be noted that mobile reps words are never to be trusted. They don't know what they're talking about half the time.
Don't do this. Please call Spectrum as Assurant recommended before going around filing things like FCC complaints. You are much more likely to make progress to at least try speaking to Spectrum as Assurant advised since Assurant said that they sent them the payment than sending a complaint to the FCC. You will probably need to have the situation escalated with a manager, though. Even if Spectrum still says no you will have a stronger case against them since you will have followed all of their steps without resolution.

Like I said, if your concern was the 14 day return window period, you shouldn't have even done the mail in trade in the first place. Some people just went into the store and got it done in less than 30min. Delays DO happen and the fact you whining and complaining won't change the speed that USPS and Assurant will process these trade in because frankly, they don't care about your return window. What is so hard to understand that simple concept?

"It's unacceptable that there is so much delay return window closing..."blah blah blah, get off your high horse. There's zero guarantee that trade in was going to be accepted within that 14 days return period and if you took that risk, it's on YOU. Double so, if you decided to cancel in the middle of these transaction and you further complicate things.

This will be my last post here in this thread. Since you guys are all high and mighty with your attitude, go ahead and console each other's pain and grievances.

Has anyone switched the credit card on file to a debit card to avoid losing any promotional cash back from the credit card? I'll probably give it a shot so I don't lose my Amex offers.

I am wondering too. It's mentioned in terms that credit/refund goes to the original payment method card.
I have not received my credit back to my card yet recently, but based on my last experience if you add or change your payment method on your billing on the website first then it will make things easier since they should just offer to send it back to one of the cards on file (even if it is not your original payment method).

For those of you, who's having trouble with blacklisted Moto G's from Wal-Mart, try checking the IMEI on any one of the following websites:

https://www.imeipro.info
http://www.checkesnfree.com
https://swappa.com/imei

My Moto G shows ineligible to activate on StraightTalk, but shows clean on all the other free esn check sites. I'm still waiting for the assessment on mine, so I don't know what the result will be, but seeing some people with blacklisted Moto G's getting approved makes me think the ST website is not showing the correct information on SOME phones.

I don't see the Moto g 5g in the list. I have couple Moto g 5g 's to trade in. I can see the Moto g 5g plus but not regular 5g. Anyone tried that?

Can officially confirm. My credit hit my account today and automatically includes the tax refund also. I switched my payment method on my account to my preferred card for the refund and they sent it back to that one. So if you want to coordinate between credit rewards/debit then it can be done. This is consistent with my experience last year.

And for those wondering, got trade in approval confirmation yesterday and credit it account today. So even though it says 1-2 billing cycles, you can request your refund much sooner than that if paid in full.

Did you delete the 2 real credit cards from the account after you added the debit card?
No, I left it on there and made sure to tell the rep the last 4 numbers of my debit card so she knew she had the right card.
