Like a prepaid card without any money on it or not enough to cover a purchase...as long as the card isn't expired Amazon will accept it. it only gets charged when your subscribe order is shipping, and it will email you saying to change your payment or you won't get your items bc it won't work with the current payment. You ignore it, and only deal with the item you need.

Another option is keep extending your ship date for your subscribe and save order. Let's say you have 3 items and your date it coming up to make any changes B4 it ships, which is 8 days B4 your day. Make sure at least 9 days before your s&s ship date you go into s&s options and to change your monthly day, and extend it another week(s) or month...and wallah! You keep your deals you added for s&s and get to hold off on finding more items to add to get to the 5+ extra savings.

Lol. That's peak out of touch hipster. The majority of the nation, and world for that matter, does not have a local roaster within 15 miles.

10% SS is only available if you have a higher amount of subscriptions. The 10% is YMMV, the rest of us will be getting 5% off with SS.

Italiano is a bland floral mess, i would not buy again.

Perfecto is back in stock and rarely under $16 S&S
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017EVLN9Y
I'm looking forward to getting this in my Feb S&S box

1/28 Perfetto is now down to $15 S&S

Barista Gran Crema is also under $16 S&S
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OJ4X32
but I have gotten it as low as $11, so no rush to buy.
i would not buy this one again as it has a ash note.

For a kilo of whole bean? I doubt it.

I think these are everyday prices on Amazon. The Italiano for example was cheaper by 15% without the current 15% coupon, the end price is the same. Amazon is playing a game.

Do they put the roast date on the bag? Are they several months old by the time we get them?

No roast date but best by date . I bought similar bags and best by date is April 2025 .

I don't know about that - but what he could be referring to, or at least motivated by is finding beans for an espresso machine. Having fresh beans is quite important for making good espresso but not nearly as important or noticeable for drip coffee. You won't need to grind as finely and you'll get better crema with fresher beans. Basically much better extraction and flavor

There's no doubt that fresh roasted beans are advantageous. It's just a total lack of awareness to think that most people have a local coffee roaster near their home. Many millions do, but way more do not.
