Like a prepaid card without any money on it or not enough to cover a purchase...as long as the card isn't expired Amazon will accept it. it only gets charged when your subscribe order is shipping, and it will email you saying to change your payment or you won't get your items bc it won't work with the current payment. You ignore it, and only deal with the item you need.
Another option is keep extending your ship date for your subscribe and save order. Let's say you have 3 items and your date it coming up to make any changes B4 it ships, which is 8 days B4 your day. Make sure at least 9 days before your s&s ship date you go into s&s options and to change your monthly day, and extend it another week(s) or month...and wallah! You keep your deals you added for s&s and get to hold off on finding more items to add to get to the 5+ extra savings.
most people have a local coffee roaster near their home. Many millions do, but way more do not.
i actually do live blocks away from a fresh roast purveyor who does sell a dozen variety of decent beans single sources and blends i can afford under $10 a pound. i still buy/try Lavazza as it gave me the ability to find out that i sought flavor notes in my beans, rather than a source of them. i like how Lavazza tells you "intensity" (how concentrated the flavor yield) and major flavor notes (while most other commercial beans use ambiguous marketing adjectives). I know any coffee snob reading this will dismiss my claim that a commercial bean is indistinguishable from fresh roasted, but after years of trail and error i have concluded that as long as your process fully yields a beans potential, that even a commercial bean can make for great coffee.

Good price. Coffee flavor is subjective. Lavazza Barista Gran Crema is, IMO, a better tasking coffee. Tasts chocolatey. Need to wait for it to go on sale though.
Used to get these from Amazon at this price when they are discounted but then my local Costco started having these or at least the Italiano and grand crema for just under 10 bucks pretty often.
Heads up. Lavazza coffee is LIGHT roasted compared to what I am used to. Dark is really light roast - I discovered buying some Dark Lavazza on sale at the store on a whim. I'm not sure how much lighter this "medium" could be?!?! Tasty though. But I won't buy again.
I'm headed down this road and not sure either about fresh roasted vs packaged. I pick up small bags from local coffee shops, but I feel like I've got to learn a whole new hobby just to get a good shot of espresso. For regular coffee been looking for some blue mountain, bought a tiny package off Amazon but didn't trust it, whole food or the like sometimes gets it
What are some rich bodied coffee beans one can try if try like this one, not much of a coffee person asking for my wife.
They like only this one from lavzza after tried grand crema and others.

Italiano is a bland floral mess, i would not buy again.
I'm no coffee snob, but Espresso Italiano is definitely their "worst" product. There's a reason it's almost always the cheapest one whenever things go on sale.
