1 - check your installation after they complete it. My car was not unlocking the door using the original key fob after the remote start. They did something wrong.
2- this is really heavy in battery usage. If you don't drive your car regularly, the battery will drain. It happened to me after 3 weeks of not using the car, with 2 different vehicles.
Other than that, it is great. Very useful for extreme weather days.
Good to know, I'll stick with the non-LTE. Have that on my RAV4 and that doesn't drain.
Not sure what the issue is; this did state that it was compatible in the past along with the Non-LTE version which is also saying the same thing.....not sure if I need to fork over something extra but that option is not there...

It IS compatible. The tech told me so. I'm getting this installed on my 2020 XSE soon.
Thanks, for the info on the security module, I skipped this last time because I found its just a remote start and no theft prevention. But hearing that it's only $100 extra I might wait for the non lte version as I hear the lte version will kill your car battery.
Figured for the difference that they run the sale's between the two (usually only $50) I would rather have the lte in case I feel I want the geo fencing and gps
Any answer to this?

or the viper
Viper - DS4VB Remote Start System - Installation Included - Black [bestbuy.com] (comes with 1x 3000' max small remote and 40' - 150' bluetooth phone app, no subscription needed
edit: nevermind I see trhe viper does get posted often too. I'll go with that on next sale.
At this price, it's not worth it. Just buy it again for $300. I sell this same unit at my store for $549. If someone wants to install it into a new vehicle. Removal is $60, reinstall is $240 + the cost of new harnesses, because they are not worth salvaging.
compustar is currently having inventory shortages of certain t-harnesses. if viper has t-harness available for same vehicle, that will be the one recommended as compatible. if you want to see compatibility, you can check compustars website directly to see if there is firmware available. one thing to keep in mind is alot of Push-to-start vehicles will need a t-harness for takeover so vehicle can remain running when you get in. also t-harness is less damaging on your vehicles wiring and significantly faster to install. if the t-harness is not available, you can order the unit and source the t-harness yourself or wait till it becomes available to get the install done. it can be hardwired however, i would recommend calling your install bay to verify it will not be an issue for them. scheduling by default utilizes t-harness time frame and most cases a hardwire will add an extra hr for install and also the installer may not be certified for hardwire install.
the unit can be removed to be installed into another vehicle, however there may be a removal charge at the installers discretion as it is not covered. installing into new vehicle will have a charge as well.
the csx4905 is worth getting if you think there is a possibility the remote will not have enough range. you can always get the starter installed and tell the installer not to install the drone module and resell it on ebay to offset the cost making this a better value than the css4905.
the unit can be installed by yourself if you are somewhat competent and willing to get the usb interface and have login credentials for flashing the firmware. most install bays will not flash the firmware for you. the cost will not change as it is included and just keep in mind that if anything messes up you have no form of protection as it was not installed by a authorized installer.
the csx4905 causes a little bit more draw on the battery as the drone module refreshes in normal situations. if you park in an area thats hard of cellular/gps signal, it will draw more as it will keep trying to update and get a signal.
i would highly recommend getting compustar over viper if there is a firmware available and you have an automatic transmission. they have a significantly lower comeback rate. more specifically the dc3 brain over the ds4
