Thanks OP. Ordered a used one and just got it. It came sealed but looks relatively new with some light scratches on screen. Internet speeds jumped from 10-12 Mbps to over 50-70Mbps using this hotspot vs. a ZTEmobley.
I have owned this for at least 4 years. When i added it to att account, gave them an imei number of a phone, and that's what they think it is unlimited data!
There are some better options out there. I just got a used/good M6 MR6150 for $190 yesterday. Unlocked, wifi6, 5G, x62 chip, 32 clients, etc etc.
The MR6500, ATT version, can easily be unlocked for $10-20, and is even better than the MR6150 after that. WIfi 6E, x65 snap chip, 2.5GB LAN and 8GB theoretical top. And can be had used for $150+ or looks like they can be had new occasionally on ebay for $2-300. Had I known about the $10 unlock service and that the bands were just disabled, I would have bought the MR6500 instead. I thought they were like old school cell phones with actually different specs.
There are some others out there that can be had cheap. Just wanted the Nighthawk.
Thank you for the excellent info. repped. Which unlock service? DC Unlocker?

Didn't need an unlock. Just kept the Mr6150. Yeah that's the one I hear of most. He's on ebay as well. So is another guy from NY that you'll find on there. About the same reps as the DC at least on ebay. For what it's worth I contacted the Chester NY guy on ebay, he got right back to me. Has live chat on his website and it's same guy I got on both. Should look up the $10 bus tab TMO thread from 2 years ago, and the one from last year. Good info there about all these Magic type alterations out there and some different modems that can be used as well. Someone on there was offering their services as well lol but I didn't keep up with how his service turned out.
