Tip: If you buy from Best Buy- add the plus membership to your order for $50. It'll extend your return period from 15 days to 60 for peace of mind in case the U8K comes back on sale or if you decide you just don't like it. You can cancel the membership within 60 days of purchasing it for a full refund.

They're offering free installation/wall mounting for these. Imagine that is useful w/ a TV this big!

If putting on a stand, you may want to check max weight supported. The 98" is around 125lbs and the 100" is around 138lbs.

yeah I saw that, so I went to their website and its available for 2,999 but 300 shipping, which I think someone mentioned before. I dont understand why they lower the price twice at Best Buy but it's not available. id stick with u8k if your going long term.
If you're fine mounting it yourself that might be a good option. JAN5 takes 5% off and no tax. So it'd be cheaper than Best Buy by like $75. (If you want to return, shipping is your expense unless the TV is damaged so keep that in mind too)

Shipping is $400 for me so it'd be more expensive so I'll just wait for Best Buy.

Ive had mine for a day now and I'm torn. It's a lot better than I was expecting. The contrast and image processing is excellent especially at this price point. The viewing angles are pretty good. You have to be petty far off center for the picture to wash out. The UI is pretty straight forward. It is a little laggy at times. Someone asked how much storage it has. Under system it said 19gigs. The only problem I'm having is I'm coming from a 83" C2 and I'm losing that depth or pop from the oled. HDR pics on the C2 almost look 3D if that makes any sense and you lose that on this TV. I don't have an issue with brightness and I'll say the screen uniformity is actually better than the C2. The grays on the C2 are terrible. I also think it does an amazing job with contrast with the number of zones it has. I don't think that's an issue at all. Unfortunately I only have 15 days from order date to figure out if I'm keeping it and I'm sure there won't be any good settings out for it yet. It does have a calman calibration tool but I'm guessing you need some type of software to run it. Overall I think it's a steal for 2k... that's If you're not coming from an 83" OLED that's already installed on your wall. Hope this helps. I think a lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised.

Going from OLED definitely seems like a hard transition - I'll see them at Best Buy and almost not want anything else. But then you see the massive screen of the others… glad to hear it looks good though - I don't think I've experienced a UI for a TV that's not laggy (except maybe the higher end ones?) so that's to be expected oftentimes.

You should have gotten the Best Buy plus membership to increase your return period to 60 days! (And cancel at day 59 to get a full refund) Do me a favor and order the U8K 100" and compare the two to tell me if it's worth $1k more 😂

Two are 2.1 (4K @ 120/144Hz) and two are 2.0 (4K @ 60Hz / 1080p @ 120Hz)

Sports bars should be taking notice at this price! Especially the ones still using outdated projectors.

Depends on how rowdy your patrons can get, a TV is a much bigger and easier target to hit than a projector on the ceiling 😅

Wait until you start seeing MicroLED screens at reasonable prices. Biggest takeaway for me from the past few years at CES, and especially this one, is that MicroLED is absolutely the biggest leap we've had in a long time regarding picture quality and brightness. They make every other TV around them look like old tech. Of course, when you're watching a movie at night and a bright white Walmart ad comes on you're going to go blind temporarily, but... small price to pay.

Hisense delivery/install is Sunday. I bought four 15' HDMI cables and a nice new CAT6 cable so that they can run everything through the wall. Concerned because I've read 2.1 doesn't appreciate long cables, but my existing conduit looks like it's on the opposite side of the Hisense connector panel, so it's going to be a long trip (or a new hole in the wall I guess).

I got 15' cables too— think it should be fine. I purchased an in-wall power kit and routed it myself though since I wanted the power cord hidden as well. Thought about doing a cat cable too but I won't be using the smart tv apps so I passed on that. Super easy to install (with the exception of me being dumb and not checking for vertical obstructions) but now I have the cables routed and ready to go.

I was going to install the bracket myself so geek squad would have a faster time but I have some Govee lights to put on the back of the TV and figured if they're doing the bracket it'll give me a moment to attach those.

Install in 3 hours!

Lol. I'm gonna. It keeps on going in and out of stock and I'll definitely get the plus membership for that order. 😁
