How high or low, for that matter, is your sitting height? Last time I hung a large TV that low, anytime I'd game, depending on genre, i felt i had to look down at the bottom of the screen. Also, if I was to lay on chase and put knees up, they'd also be in the way lol
My eye height is probably like 42"? But I slouch down and put my feet up on the ottoman a lot. I had them put it 29" from bottom of TV to floor which is still a bit higher than the usual recommended of eye to center of TV (but that'd look really weird).

I think 29" works well, have to look up slightly but not much. Gives room for the console underneath. My friend was here and said he would have gone higher but I think that's because everyone's so used to seeing TVs mounted too high we think that's how it should be and then we're cocking our necks up to watch anything.

Looks great! Two questions, do you game and if so, have you tried it out yet? 😅🍻
I game sometimes, haven't tried it out yet though other than pulling up Baldurs Gate to update on my Xbox. I'm sure it'd look great though.

Agree with the other commenter that it's not the best at upscaling SD content (guess I better start adding 4k copies to my Plex server instead of just 1080p, though 1080 doesn't look horrible) but anything high res like games seems to look great.

I got 15' cables too— think it should be fine. I purchased an in-wall power kit and routed it myself though since I wanted the power cord hidden as well. Thought about doing a cat cable too but I won't be using the smart tv apps so I passed on that. Super easy to install (with the exception of me being dumb and not checking for vertical obstructions) but now I have the cables routed and ready to go.

I was going to install the bracket myself so geek squad would have a faster time but I have some Govee lights to put on the back of the TV and figured if they're doing the bracket it'll give me a moment to attach those.

Install in 3 hours!
How did it work out? Any problems with the 15' cables?

In the pics it's still sitting on the cardboard from the base of the box directly on the basement floor. I intend to look for some sort of stand though as I don't want to wall mount either.

The legs are 54" apart and 20" deep so any low bench or table should work. I'm not worried about the edges sticking out like wings because it will be against a wall and no kids or pets in the house.

I came across this as another option. Looks pretty clean.

That looks pretty good. I don't understand the not wanting to wall mount but to each their own (unless there's no room or way to mount it) — if I wasn't mounting it I'd definitely go for this. I'd be too afraid/paranoid of it falling over on a normal stand but maybe that's because my dog is crazy and I'm clumsy.

They seem to be working just fine for me- I got the Monoprice in-wall rated ones on Amazon. I laser engraved the sides of them with "one", "two", "three" and had the installer match them to the correct port (forgot to get a fourth one). Didn't realize the other 2.1 port was #4 so I had to move #1 to #4 after it was mounted which was… quite difficult. But all good now!

I agree, people throw these things up waaay too high. But I also don't like it absolutely dead on, feels strange not have a slight angle for a bit more theatrical experience. Looking absolutely dead on, I tend to look above the TV and it throws me off, esp given the size. Did you post any pics, would love to see it. (Disregard if you did, will look back through comments lol.) Also, is this height to the bottom of the TV, or the center of mount?

In my case my gameroom got ripped out to waterproof my basement and install an interior French drain with sump pump. I haven't refinished my basement yet and don't want to install the TV into the block foundation walls.

Once I get the walls reframed and the drywall replaced I will wall mount.

Thats just for the TV upscaling itself, correct? Something like an Apple TV I'd assume would upscale it better perhaps. Maybe I'll test that out later. Exhausted from getting everything ready and set up last couple days.
Also with fire tv but not apple tv. Sd and hd stuff just has no wow factor, looks below subpar but again 4k looks great.

I posted two pics on page 30. It's 29 inches from the bottom edge of the TV to the floor. The mount tilts (super easily which is nice, my old cheapo mounts I'd have to tighten it and not be able to freely tilt whenever) so I have it tilted downward a little.

The Hisense was an absolute piece of cake to unbox.

I easily unboxed and attached the legs by myself. I only needed help lifting it 6" to get it off of the final bottom center piece of foam. Handles make lifting easy. 10/10 package design.

Received the Hisense. Within an hour I started to have intermittent screen flashing. Now it is a complete dumpster fire. Very disappointing.

Time to start with the replacement/return process and hope for better. From looking at the current reviews, I am not the only one having issues apparently!

Oh that's no good! Hope they can let you wait for the replacement vs a refund since it's out of stock.
