Free delivery and Install is fine..But how do you take it back if you don't like it?
Dimensions of the box anyone.?
Roughly 5' x 8' x 1' . I bought the 2 year geek squad in home repair or replacement package just to cover my butt. If it glitches and needs returned it's their problem not mine. I think it was around $250 or so extra.

Putting a 2,000 TV on a stand seems like you're asking for trouble. Murphy's law will kill that TV. Just a matter of time. Pay the extra 100 bucks and get a wall mount.

Besides, the viewing angle will be much better higher and you're able to aim / tilt the TV perfectly for where you're going to be sitting. All TCS and a sweet spot of viewing angles and you can dial it in with a wall mount. Trust me on this.
Higher? How high do you think you can mount this thing? lol. It'll take up most of the wall

Is the consensus (so far) that only 4k looks good? That seems hard to believe. Most of what I watch is not 4K - it's more likely 1080p from various streaming sources. What about non-4k blu rays?

720 and below looks bad. 1080 doesn't look bad, it just looks fine. 4k looks great.

You chat or call Best Buy and they'll schedule pickup. Geeksquad will take the boxes and packaging with them when they install anyway.

Received the Hisense. Within an hour I started to have intermittent screen flashing. Now it is a complete dumpster fire. Very disappointing.

Time to start with the replacement/return process and hope for better. From looking at the current reviews, I am not the only one having issues apparently!
Make sure to try new cables, different sources. For instance I had that happen once and of all things, it was me hooking up my Onkyo 2nd monitor port to another display in the house. If I disconnected the second monitor port, the primary display quit flashing. Another time I had this, it was from a ROKU TV detection settings not acting properly. It was set to auto. Once I set "Manually" to 4k 60hz, all was good. If it's flashing just on the google TV screen with nothing hooked to it, try different power source, update any firmware, factory resetting and such... Good luck, report back.

4k tv upscale lower resolution content so it still looks good. There's debate whether too much technology like hundreds of local dimming areas interferes with the single processor to do both FALD and upscaling well at the same time. Netflix, HBOmax, Prime video, and regular YouTube are the best sources for 4K or UHD video. all the rest are upscaled 1080. Sports channels like ESPN do sometimes broadcast 4k but you have to pay extra for it. For 2k 100 inch i think this is a great deal either TV.

I'm sticking with the TCL 98 based on the reviews, and video demos on YouTube. My current tv is also a TCL series 5 which has survived 3 moves and going strong into year 5 of daily use so I trust the brand more than HiSense. The Hisense may be stronger on paper but I know from experience that it doesn't always translate into better real world experience and reliability

Thank you to those of you who have gotten your tv and have left small reviews about picture quality. Is the bad upscaling happening even with a streaming device or are you all streaming from Google TV?

i am using the latest fire tv and yes same results on native apps and on the streaming device.
anything below 4k is just plain mediocre. i can watch the same video on my oled and it looks great due to upscaling but on the 100" hisense it looks like a bad vhs from the 1980s!

My best bet is the folks that are having issues with 1080 resolution on this 100" TV really didn't have the room for it in the first place. 100" at 1080p, you need at LEAST 15' but 17'-20'+ even better. 720p content, you're going to need to be 20'+ feet out, possible standing in the front yard lolol. VERY few folks have this space available.

For those saying Hisense is bad with upscaling...has anyone tried using an Nvidia shield with it for the AI upscaling?

I'm having second thoughts on the Hisense with the reviews and quality control issues. Why did the put hdmi ARC on a 2.1 hdmi input makes no sense. Still got the TCL ordered. What we saying boys
