8gb memory for those wondering.
You're missing alot in the 'CONS' column for the Alldocube:

No Widevine L1
Audio is horrible
Software support will be garbage
128G is reasonable. I have a few other Samsung tablets which came with only 32G. They are all useless with no internal storage left for software upgrade.

Has anyone here checked out TCL Tab 8? Wondering if it's worth a bit as a stop gap until the iPad mini release later this year?

Pay more $55 to get Lenovo P11 Pro gen 2
Pay more to get Lenovo junk. Just say no to Lenovo unless you're a tech sadist who enjoys fiddling with a gadget in futile efforts to get hardware to actually function properly.

Lenovo puts nice hardware specs on paper and that's it, they are garbage in real life implementation and uses the lowest tiers of hardware quality. Have fun getting any kind of support when something inevitably goes wrong within a year or two.

Me too. I'm looking for a decent 8" tablet that isn't too heavy to hold with one hand.

Not sure why Samsung didn't release the smaller A9 in the US
So why don't you spend the $120 and get the iplay 50 mini pro NFE with 128GB? or spend $20 more and get the larger hard drive. It's 8.4".

I think I detect buyer's remorse. And I completely disagree with you on every point.

The best Tablet deal right now....!!!!!!
FOR $199.00
Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022
Specs: Snapdragon 870 8GB 128GB Tablet 11.2'' OLED 2.5K 120Hz 600nits Screen, 8200mAh and 68W fast charging.

So this model was never sold in the USA, the US got the Lenovo "P11 Pro Gen 2", while you can get that exact model, the SD870 is a noticeable upgrade to the MediaTek 1300T and 68watt fast charging, Samsung only gives you 45watts. And you get the exact same screen as the P11 Pro Gen 2 and you get even more RAM (8GB) and you will have to make due with the smallish hard drive of 128GB and a massive battery.

Ideally you would want to find a 3rd party ROM in the future, maybe Linage.

Picked up one for my kid. It is pretty decent for what it is. It is big by the way but smooth It doesn't feel cheap. The screen could have been a little better. It has a MicroSD card slot. I put 128GB for some of the Pixar movies.

I definitely have buyers remorse, as I've had nothing but problems with the P11 Pro Gen 2 since I got it, and Lenovo is worthless for any kind of support for issues. Your comment just reads like the same old sales pitch that overstates the product and disregards the plethora of common issues with Lenovo products. I got the Lenovo based on the number of times I've seen it suggested, and my experience has been dismal. Total waste of my money because there's no chance of returns, RMA, or support for it. Maybe it's different in China or other markets, but US customers should absolutely stay away unless you just love rolling dice on iffy products.

Hardware specs mean nothing when the actual implementation is the cheapest possible. In particular, it especially has the worst OLED display I've ever seen. It was the main selling point of the tablet for me, yet it is absolutely terrible. It produces bad picture quality no matter what settings I try. I'd rather have the worst Samsung LCD than the P11 Pro OLED based on what I've dealt with.

Don't even get me started on software and Lenovo's shoddy attempts at "updates", which always seem to just introduce new problems and don't fix glaring issues.

Smart slick dealers would be wise to ignore the Lenovo booster club and resist the siren call of "good hardware specs for cheap!", because it is pure gamble whether it works as advertised - and if it doesn't, have fun getting it addressed. Buyer beware.

Thank you for the post. I really want a new Samsung 8" tablet so I can retire this A7 Lite, but I don't know if the A9 Tab 8.7" 4gb 64gb hdd is really much of an improvement over it. I really don't care for the touch on the A7 lite screen...my old A8 2017 seems to have better response...

So I also have this tablet P11 Pro Gen 2 and I love it. I love everything about it.

The issue is not only do you bad mouth it... you don't even give any examples of your issues???

So we will agree to disagree, to me hardware is the most important.

The best part of the tablet is the OLED screen, the fact that you are complaining about the best part of this tablet... well, that says something.

I have had one tablet that I needed to get repaired, it was a Samsung. But the point is, you get your tablet and it either works or does not work.
