The 2024 Pennzoil rebate program has started, giving you up to a $25 gift card. The terms state:
  • Not valid on purchases made on Amazon.com or Walmart.com.
  • Void in RI and where prohibited or restricted by law. While supplies last.
  • Qualifying purchase must be made in one transaction. Limit one (1) redemption.
New this year is the restriction on walmart.com. Offer valid from February 1, 2024 – September 30, 2024

Heads-up for anyone considering this rebate as of March 1:

It looks like the list of participating retailers has been drastically reduced — Home Depot / Advance Auto / Autozone / Oreilly (to name a few I can recall) are now all INELIGIBLE!

Per the fine print:
"Sponsor may amend, modify, cancel or extend this offer, at any time, without notice."

Buyer beware, pennzoil's track record with these rebates is on the decline.

Walmart and Walmart.com are two separate entities and orders placed online are walmart.com. I found this out when I had an issue with a tire order. The store guys couldn't help me because it was a walmart.com order and I had to take it up with them.

Never had a problem with 5-6 Pennzoil rebates I've done in the past few years. One instance I had to provide more info the product was delivered from Amazon. Takes a long time but if you play their game, you will get it.

Went to a couple of local Walmart stores, all pennzoil oil from the rebate are completely gone from shelfs

Submitted my rebate about three (3) weeks ago and belatedly discovered that the rebate center provided me a redemption code three days ago ... lost in my inbox. I just redeemed my rebate for a $25 Amazon GC.

This is the easiest/fastest rebate in memory!

Looks like Walmart just had a rollback of Pennzoil Platinum from $26.44 to $23.78, which makes this rebate a little more interesting:

its been awhile since I shopped at walmart, stopped in today and found out they dont price match online price. I ended up going to home depot for few items and price matched there plus another 10% military discount.

I was looking to get this oil as well but it is not listed explicitly on the rebate. Just how nice did you have to be to get them to honor it? Did you have to sweet talk somebody on the phone or did they approve it straight away?

Super weird, the dropdown now only shows a small list of retailers, but if I follow the "See participating locations" link and type in my zip code, still see all the local auto-parts stores (O'Reilly, NAPA, etc). Smh.

Strange. The drop down list includes only Canadian retailers. This looks like a mistake. Hopefully it will get rectified after a number of people call in.
