Any reason not to get the 77 S90c instead of this one if they are the same price?
If everything is the same, ie the same retailer, same extended warranty, same price, everything exactly the same, then I would go with the S90C just because it would avoid confusions in the future for things like selling it or repairs. But functionally from everything that has been reported these are the same TVs, even the software secret menus were supposedly saying S90C on the S89C.

Just curious, where are you buying from?

Guys, What do I do? I feel itchy and FOMO looking at all the discussion. Getting into a new home in March and this will do wonders but dont need it right now.

Will there be something similar in couple of months time? thx!
You can always buy and schedule delivery a month out, then reschedule to March with a new address (possibly). If you can't, just cancel. Usually best time to buy TV is now (Superbowl season), but there have been wild one off sales during the year, so it's anyone's guess

Yup this is the answer. It let me schedule all the way till May and you can change the date to whenever you want between now and then. It also allows me to edit address. Plus it lets you still shop around between now and then

Why aren't people choosing a 3rd party warranty from somewhere else? An extra 4 years from Asurion via Amazon is $155. No it doesn't cover burn in. Only Best Buy warranty covers burn in I think.

In Summer there will be similar sales, If you can wait until Summer then do so, you'll probably find a comparable or better deal then. And in November around Black Friday a better deal, and then Next Superbowl a much much better deal. With TVs, there is always a deal just as good or better a few months later.

If you need something before Summer then this will probably be the best deal until then, so buy. You can schedule delivery a month out.

I caved after reading about the brightness "mod" to match s95c. Mine gets delivered tomorrow. Fingers crossed there's nothing wrong with the panel. Coming from a TCL r625 65" which has been good for what I paid (~$500), but it crushes blacks and smaller highlights, as well as having very subpar viewing angles and reflection handling (in my experience). I'll be a nice upgrade in the bedroom over my old Vizio M50. Can't wait, and can't believe BB hasn't sold out of these yet!

I have been waiting since July 2022 for a TV. I am one of those people that is on slick deals every day. I don't even buy toilet paper until one of our fellow SD members has done the precise calculation for price per sheet. The only way you are getting a better deal than this anytime soon is if you are one of the lucky few who can get into a store fast enough for a clearance item where stocks are extremely low, and even then, I think the cheapest I have seen on here for a 77 inch OLED was a Sony Costco deal for $1500, which I was not able to get after going to 5.different stores. This is the deal to get. It's a QD OLED, not just a regular OLED. I finally pulled the trigger and could not be happier. The brightness level is insane for an OLED and this is a great step up in tech. I purchased 7 TVs over the last year trying to be content and returned them all. This is the one.

This was in Bellevue, WA. I called multiple VideoOnly stores and every time the new store got a better pricing. So I walked into one and made the deal.

I think someone already pointed this out earlier in the thread, but if you're getting it from Best Buy, you can push out the delivery so you have an option to cancel if you find a better deal.

Why does every manufacturer make oled's with a thick bottom and the thinnest top? Wish they would make a uniform thickness to these tv's

Other than the 77" S90C deal that was in $1500 range with stacked promos this is the best 77" TV deal. I wouldn't hesitate at this price.
The only thing stopping me is dolby vision. I Samsung would jump on board
