My experience is that between the C3 and this S90C I like more the S90C due to the brightness, the gaming mode, and they look very very close to each other. Image processor in the C3 gives it that edge in some scenarios but I for me the S90C wins (I don't care about DV or DTS).
Now, if we go to Sony A95L or LG G3 territory then I say hands down they beat the S90C. It still looks great, specially if you feed it high bitrate HDR10 content and not just compressed over the air TV or Netflix. Which is a lot of people's use case though.
I need to find a guide to image settings because it just looks un-sharp…and kinda blurry compared to the LG.
4k streaming is typically how I watch and I have very good fiber internet at home. Streaming 4k movies too just don't look very crisp. The screen just looks like a low end TV. Fingers crossed the settings help.

However, confirmed with Geek Squad that coverage for hardware issues start after manufacturer warranty and pointed me to 3.a of the contract.
"Therefore, Coverage for hardware failure described in Section 5.1 will begin when the manufacturer's warranty expires except that if the manufacturer's warranty does not cover one of the listed Coverage items in Section 5.1, this Plan will provide coverage on the Plan start date."

I watched Top Gun Maverick (via Amazon Prime) last night and it was amazing. It looked better than it does on my LG C2 77".
4k menu screens just look kinda blurry. And standard 4k content is just very underwhelming to the point where my LG C2 77" looks far superior.

Watched Top Gun Maverick in HDR10+ last night and it looked absolute amazing….way better than it looks on my LG C2 77"…the picture is notably richer. It's not even close. I feel like this will be my main movie TV if I can find the movies in HDR10+. Truly amazing.
But in regular menus, or regular 4k streaming (YouTube TV, Netflix, MAX, etc.) so far this TV just hasn't been able to compete with the LG C2 77". It's got a blurry, non-sharp look. The best way I can describe this complaint is it looks like a projector that is slightly out of focus.
I guess I'll keep looking for a way to adjust settings to my needs…but I'm hoping I can use the 89 for more than just HDR10+ movie content.

As a few others have also noted, Best Buy had a third party deliver the TV. Wasn't too happy with how the guy hulked it off the truck then wouldn't take it past my porch. So much for "TV will be delivered into the room of your choice." I doubt it's the cause of the issue I have, but certainly wouldn't have helped things.
