I have this blanket and one of the 10'x10' ones from Big Blanket co that cost $150. The material is very different and the $150 blanket just feels more premium. It isn't any warmer though nor any more comfortable. Not worth the premium, so if you're just looking for a big ass blanket for movie nights, get this. I bought 4 for gifts down the road. People love these things so much.
Ah yes the 0rgy blanket

Im not going to downvote you because it's a matter of opinion, but there is a definite difference in the heat and quality between the two. I have one of each. These cheap ones are great for couches/camping/etc.
There is a huge weight difference between the 2 which is part of the cost factor. I will probably snag a couple more because they are cheap and if they get dirty/shredded camping or from pets, im not out much compared to my big blanket.
for this price, you could buy 15 and layer them
layering is a guarantee that it will be way more insulative than a single thick blanket, esp 15 layers!
realistically tho, 3-5 layers would be plenty for camping, depending on where you camp and how much clothes you were at night
and it'd be easier to wash multiple thinner blankets separately than a single super thick blanket at once and risk burning out your washing machine
we never buy thick blankets, we just layer - too many advantages over a single thick blanket
I have a similar blanket from Kohls (10' x 10') in the same Buffalo plaid design. Very thin but I like that. Super soft - my 35lb whippet has claimed the two I have now. She insists on being covered with the whole blanket all the time.
Bought the three colors I don't already have. Thanks OP! Now maybe I'll actually get to use one if she doesn't claim those too.
