Lots of people in different industries can get EPP deals from Samsung, your employer just has to sign up for it. It's not only for Samsung employees
Friends don't let friends buy 8K TV. Don't do it friends. Get OLED TV instead. Source materials are rare in 8K.
This is 120hz 8K screen, but hdmi input specs says only 4k120hz. So the 8k is a bit of a gimmick if you ask me. Maybe 8k30hz over hdmi? This really needs the displayport 2.1 support to get 8k120hz

Why do Samsung EPP deals get posted here? Is there a way that non-employee people can get this deal? Please share if that's the case. Their EPP deals are great and I would love to jump in on them. Thanks
EPP - Employee Purchase Program --> Does not mean "Samsung Employee". I get my EPP discount through Perks at Work. My previous employer, I believe, went through id.me. You can also get a discount if you have a valid .edu email.

Why not? Seems like a ridiculous argument. Reviews say it has good upscaling, so even if you don't have 8K content, you can benefit. Plus, you are future-proofing.

Being 10 years ahead before 8K is mainstream is not future-proofing.

Unless you have a bright living room or area you commonly watch TV in which case this TV gets significantly brighter, even without taking ABL into account.. 1600/1400/550 cd/m² vs 900/1000/200 cd/m² (for the "best tv" oled on rtings S90C)
Also interested to know what's out there and how to watch 8k format
It's been 8k60 over hdmi 2.1 since the QN800B (a year prior to this model.) I know because I run my desktop at 8k60 for work. Great display if that's what you need it for. Is the PQ as good as the LG 77G3 on the other side of my room, no, but that's not where it was meant to shine.

Upscaling without burn in.... I would take this deal over an OLED all day.
I have an 8K. Best TV I've ever bought. Samsung also. The video quality is superb than all. Gaming also.
