I didn't say I bought 3 of these.

I was referring to buying 3 smartphones and not being able to buy more online.

Sheesh. What is your problem????

Does the $40 plan permit ANY hotspot usage? It seems to get not even low speed (like 512Kbps) when put in hotspot ..
Apparently, the plan does NOT Include free hotspot. Tried to circumvent the issue with TTL editing but failed. That was not mentioned in the OP.

Never had pre paid. Is it standard for Metro to verify your identity before completing the order?

What is the point of having this instead of A54 or waiting for A55 for an extra $50 (future time machine prediction)?

I mean, the Samsung A series provides more updates, better Knox security, etc.
price. use case.

had the a54.(intended to use as DD)
but sold it (for nice profit when bought s23fe)

this will be a back up phone once s23 UL

thats why , i say..its a vicious cycle
when/if a55 comes out,
i will be inclined to buy it as well lol.

Which plan did you get? Pretty sure hotspot/tethering 'not' included with $40 plan.
Yes. Not included. Oh, well. Will turn it off for 180 days.

Anyone tried this for emulation? I doubt it till do much GameCube or PS2 but should be good for anything up to that?
Bought one of these for 60 a few months back. Surprisingly, didn't think about emulation on this since the 2022 lagged with PS2. I'll give this a go and report back. If it does well, I might have to pick up another to pair with my Kishi v2

Purely anecdotal, but after purchasing 5 phones over the course of 3 years, I have never had to do anything. Pretty sure you actually have to make the effort to set up auto pay.

Auto pay is OFF by default. Don't do anything (don't turn ON Autopay, don't pay for the 2nd month) and the service will be suspended after the 1st month, then auto-cancelled after the 2nd month.

Thanks found that.

It looks like just 1 time pay and forget for 6 months.

one is free, one is 50 dollar?

i feel that unless you are very tech savvy ( in which case, why bother with any of those lower end phones), having more updates isn't really what holding a phone back in this day and age for vest majority of users. it use to be that some frame work only runs on newer versions, and if you don't have those, your app aren't working, but this is a much smaller issues in recent years as far as i recall.

my A71 runs pretty much all application as my flip5 does. for what's worth, i also have a moto stylus 2022, and 2023.

There is some samsung specific perks, such as samsung tags, watch features, password manager and etc. but unless you are deep in samsung eco, those features doesn't matter to you all that much.

As promised, I tested Tekken tag on it. Surprisingly it played without any latency at all. Time to pick up another 😂
