I am a big-time fan of Sofirn flashlights, so, whenever I see one of their deals posted, I like to show them some love. Because I like their products - and because their affordable prices, have allowed me to amass about 20 of their flashlights in my collection, over the past few years.

I'm not saying that they are the best flashlights that are available on the market today; but, they are legitimately nice flashlights and they damn sure offer a good value, for what you pay for their flashlights.

By the way, I own this specific model flashlight, the Sofirn SC33, and I would definitely recommend it, especially, at this $34 price, with the included battery.
This one throttles quite heavily once it gets hot. You can check out zeroair's review. I have the SP33S which has a much higher sustained output, but it is also slightly thicker since it uses 26650 battery. I got it on sale for ~$34 with battery last time it was on slickdeals.
I'm going to disagree. I have one of these and 3 different sc31 pro in 3 different colors. I find the tail switch annoying and love the magnetic tail cap on my sc31. This will clip nicely on a visor on a ball cap though (I bought a headlamp for that). If you don't need anduril and prefer a tactical tail switch this is the one for you. Pretty sure I paid less too through a sofirn email.

I got this last time it was this price, 5k model. Surprisingly heavy and sizable so it's not really an every day driver. But damn I like the wide spot and spill, with a ton of power when you need to boost it. I feel like Alan Wake with this thing.

Can this thing be used as a power bank? I didn't see it on the product description.

Got the Sofirn SP33S from Amazon last year for $65 🤦 ♂️... (Now $50) But REALLY REALLY like it. USB C charging is amazing! 1 thing I do miss is magnetic tail cap. I really wish it had that. If anyone knows of any 5000+ lumens Sofirn flashlight with magnetic end, please share link. Zoomable head would be a plus, but magnetic tail is a necessity for me. Thx!!

Got this last time and have been very happy with it. It's pretty much everything the average person needs, and then some. All in a small package.

I just ordered an IF25A for MTB as was looking for something closer to 4k.
$32 shipped with code 20SOFIRN.:
https://www.sofirnlight.com/colle...flashlight

Was also looking at the 4k Wurkkos TS25 but is not in stock.

I had been using my Sofirn HS20 strapped around my helmet and an SP36 mounted to under handlebar with two hose clamps. Has worked but was time for upgrade so ordered an Outbound EVO to mount on bars and the IF25A as a helmet mounted headlamp.

The HS20 is the best headlamp I own. I definitely recommend.
$30.39 shipped with code 20SOFIRN:

Almost want to buy another at that price.

Now I just need to order some spare batteries.

I don't know anything about flashlights, but have been meaning to get a decent bright one. Bit on the SP33s. I'll hardly will ever use it but will be fun when I do👍🏻

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a related question that I'm hoping some of you experts can shine some light on (har har).

What would you recommend for a jogging headlamp, that could do double duty for walking my dogs at night? I would probably prefer a cap clip-on, although it would have to be light because I use "tech" caps for running (that both wick sweat and are also easily washable) which are not hard/strong, but not opposed to something that would come with a strap, as long as it would not be too bulky/heavy.

Thank you!

EDIT: I quickly educated myself about headlamps and I picked up an Sofrin HS20 Headlamp with the SFT40 emitter (two versions are offered, this throws farther, which is what the "throw" light should do better from the separate flood light). I was able to use the sale for this order as well! Thanks everyone, looking forward to lots of evening running as soon as the weather is warmer!

This one does clip onto the brim of a hat with the included clip. I am not familiar with that type of hat, but as long as the brim is at least as stiff as the cardboard from a 12 pack of soda it will work with this. This is a dang good flashlight for the price, can't really go wrong.

Yes ts22 is a bit better, it goes on sale a lot so I'd wait.

The Ts22 is only 4000 Lu what makes it better?

@ aviator79

I bought the HS20 a year ago at $30 also. It's really good. I haven't used my other headlamps since. Highly recommend.

Would pretty much second everything you say about Sofirn and their value. Other than one light with a PITA UI (IF23), I have dozens of lanterns and lights and they are the best flashlights for the money. They also make great gifts.
Does this SC33 have Anduril 2.0?

Only after reading a few different opinions online it seems the Wurkkos TS22 might be a better choice? I don't know if the price difference makes up for it though.
I read a few times that wurkkos is made by sofirn although they are different companies. They definitely compete in the same space (quality budget lights) so comparing them Is definitely a good idea. Also, both of their business models are to discount heavily so never pay retail on these lights (like kohls if you're familiar, ie. The "regular" price is purely a gimmick).

Great light, but it does get hot quite fast.
I had a few holes in my tarp to patch prior to winter. t was covering a woodworking project. I'd patch the hole with some duct tape and then use the light on the other side to illuminate where I needed to patch. So I patched and patched and patched. It was at about the 20th patch when I realized every time I set the light down to tape I burned a new hole in it.

I am not a smart man.

TS22 is almost 20% smaller even with same battery, has more flood at the expense of not quite as far of throw. If your main goal is distance then the sc33 is the one to pick but I like my ts22 more and can't tell the difference in brightness. SC33 was rated at 3500lumen on budgetlightforums, doesn't get anywhere near 5k.

Headlamps look and function ridiculous. For basic needs like walking dogs, buy this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SK4P...tails&th=1

I just had 2 power outages in 48 hours and this was easily the best type of general purpose light in my toolkit.
