YMMV - Select Home Depot Stores
Select Home Depot Stores [homedepot.com] [
link for reference only; have
Makita 18v X2 (36V) LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 21 in. Walk Behind Lawn Mower Kit w/4 batteries (4.0Ah) on clearance for $199.00.
For me, homedepot.com is showing regular price of $699.00 and sale price of $399.00. However, the store I purchased it at had 6 of these with yellow clearance tags of $199.00.
Also if you are eligible for the 10% military discount, even though clearanced, it will also apply and drop it down to $179.10.
Brickseek [brickseek.com] shows me it is clearanced out at other locations as well.
Offer is valid In-Store only
Product ID #: 321778072
Internet #: 088381755894
Model #: XML10CM1
Note: In-store availability and pricing varies by location. Also, clearanced self-propelled version might be in stock near you so look for it too.
In addition, this purchase is eligible for a free leaf blower shipped from Makita through their erebates
program [makitatools.com].

I just tried out the mower. I can't test in high thick grass right now. Mostly sparse clover and wild flowers up high. I have some oak leaves on the ground though and I filled up the bag twice packed tight with leaves. I stlll have charge on those 2 batteries and it picked up leaves great.
I'm 59 with a bad back, arthritis, and a handicapped tag.and the mower rolled easy for me.

Edit: there were no prices for it on the shelves and when I called the store and used the automated system to check inventory, it said 3 were in the store for $399 but it rang up $199.
Edit. Everyone, since many of you aren't seeing all I posted unless you go into my original listing:
Be sure to look for self-propelled version too. It was already posted when I made my post. Also likely at $199 price.
Also, with both mowers there is a rebate from Makita for a free $169 leaf blower. Link is on my original post. After buying the mower you take a pic of your receipt, the UPC off the box, and the serial # UNDER WHERE BATTERIES GO, not from serial sticker on box. Makita is amazingly fast on processing the free tool rebates. Usually accepted within one or two business days and tool is at your house in less than two weeks.
If you read the complaints on the reviews they typically say they used to run for~40 minutes or so but now less than 25 minutes on a charge. I suspect they ran them dead multiple times.

Looks like a steal, but that thing is trash. Read the review. There's a reason it's been clearanced out
